Re: 1st IVF cycle
Hi, I tried to comment yesterday but my computer was acting stupid.
I am so sorry to hear that you are having a bad day. I can't even imagine losing a child. I am so sorry to hear that.
As for the IVF. I have been doing IVF now since 2004. I was successful on my second cycle in May 2005 and had a break until we started again this time last year. We went pretty full on for about 4-5 months consecutive with no success. Then we moved interstate and as soon as humanly possible, started again in Jan/ Feb this year. We did one cycle with no success. Have 2 embryos in cold storage/freezer but they suggested we start fresh.
So we started fresh, and I ended up with a cyst that although was collapsing, was causing hormone disruption and they cancelled my cycle. Started on birth control pills to help regulate my hormones (Dr tells me it can help to prevent cysts from forming). Just finished my last hormone tablet and will start my period soon.
I haven't had as many let downs as you but all I can tell you is to keep your chin up. Thats what I keep telling myself. I am pretty new to the IVF game and I know some women do this for a lot longer than it took me. Just try to stay positive, keep talking to your partner. And get support wherever you can.
All the best to you-Angela
