More Cloth Nappies!!!

by mum23Comment Published at 03:2603:261 comments1 comments52 Visits52 VisitsReport

Hi, I'm back again. I'm sorry to admit that I have been rather busy buying more nappies! I have recently added to my stash 2 x "Sandman"  Night Nappies from Sustainable Hemp, 6 x "Daysies" also from Sustainable hemp. They are Terrific. They are fitteds, but I have heaps of covers so perfect for me. I am liking them much more than my pockets, they are so absorbant, and pretty with beautiful outter fabrics. I will post some photos soon. I also purchased this Easter Nappy !! So cute and cuddly - it is blanket minky over pul. So Happy Easter everyone, and i'll be back to post the photos of my pretty new Daysies and Sandmans soon. Emma

by RachallComment Published at 21:4421:447 comments7 comments72 Visits72 VisitsReport

I am in the process of starting a cloth nappy business and am in need of some testers for my size 2 side snapping pocket nappy. It has an outer layer of PUL and a stay-dry liner of microfleece inside I have one layer of hemp fleece for those toilet training or ecing. The insert is a trifold of 2 layers of hemp fleece.

The measurements for babies fitting in this nappy are as follows:
Rise: 45 cm
Waist: 49-53cm
Not sure about weight just yet will have more of an idea once I have had the nappies tested.

Requirements:
Must be willing to take photos of the nappy on your child and answer a variety of questions in regards to the fit, the nappy in general, washing of the nappy and other questions along those lines. I will be charging cost of materials  plus postage (which I will email to the selcted participants). If you are interested please send me a minti mail with your bubs sex, age, weight, build eg skinny, tall, short, stocky, pot belly.

Did I get a bargain? :)

I got AIO fitted nappies. They are white outside and terry towelling in the middle and in between the two, PUL to make it waterproof. They have a sewn in booster for extra absorbancy. They have elastic waist and legs and are easily done up through velcro. I got 12 small, 12 medium and 12 large for $150 plus $15 postage. All brand new she makes them at home. I think it is a good deal am I right??

Stain removal and diaper rash

by lillkatherynComment Published at 18:4918:492 comments2 comments380 Visits380 VisitsReport

Well, posted a while back I was trying to figure out how to remove the poo stains.  Well, with I found it.  I just take some shout and a stiff bristle brush, the ones for pedicures, and scrub and toss in the laundry.  Comes out spotless everytime!!  I'm so happy as I wanna keep them looking clean as possible.  Though ironic since it's made to catch the ickies...lol  But Mikey is doing great in them, but he gets red spots alot with them, as supposed to the disposables.  Why could this be?  He has had more rashes in them then when he was in the other diapers.  Any idea why?

Newby

Hi!  Introducing me:  I used disposable with my first child as our water situation was so bad, but when I had my 2nd I part converted.  I bought fitted, velcro ones from Baby BeeHinds, on layby which was helpful.  I starting using them just at home, but now I find them so easy I use them every day.  I do a load of washing every day anyway, so I just throw them in the machine (on high temperatures) and the starter pack of about 6-8 nappies is enough for me for one toddler.  However I am still learning and still using disposables at night as the cloth ones get too wet.  Maybe you guys can offer me some tips here??  The added bonus is that my daughter far prefers the feel of them and objects when I put a disposable on at night - I am also finding toilet training easier as I can put a nappy on her and (being velcro) she just takes it off when she remembers and needs to go - and, if she doesn't remember it's no great disaster

Diaper update

by lillkatherynComment Published at 19:3719:372 comments2 comments16 Visits16 VisitsReport

Ok, well I've been using them for a while and I have to say I love them!  I can wash them in the sink, or when I do laundry, either way they are quick to clean and dry really fast.  I'll wash them at night and in the am they will be dry and ready to use.  Love them and the family thinks they look adorable on my boy!   I'm so glad that I got them!
