Cloth bums

I have not brought any new or secondhand nappies in over a week! I am loving all my cloth nappies and think I have the ultimate stash. So there is no need to buy and more nappies. Hubby will be pleased. Pocket nappies are soo.. cool, the are easy to dry and stuff. My favourite are the Ecobubs wool pockets - they are so lush!! I have 4 of these. My day pockets, 10 Bubba J's and 10 Baby Cheeks all with pea pod bamboo inserts are GREAT! Haven't had a single leak, and haven't ran out, 20 is perfect for a two day rotation (washing every second day). I will try to add some photos soon.

Ok, I just put on the first one on my baby boy.  And they look soooooooooo cute!  Plus they fit him great in the small size.  When it's warm, it's going to  be great cause he can go just with the diaper as it look like a cover.  They came with 2 inserts, one for newborns and one for babies over 10lbs.  They are really easy to use, just like dispoable diapers.  So far so good.  I'll see how things go after a few days...I'm just so excited!

I can't wait, according to UPS they are supposed to come tomorrow!  I'm glad too since Im like out of disposable diapers....I am so exctied....I might buy some more in a month or 2.  I only got 12 for now, since my boy is little, and i'm kinda obssed about keeping him in clean diapers...though easier said then done at times.  I will post when I get them and use them....

One thing, any one use cloth wipes?  Which ones do you like?

Hi my name is Emma, and i'm a cloth nappy addict!!! SERIOUS I have gone totally over board lately with purchases. It started out about saving money, now it's about saving the environment... cause I don't think i've saved anything!! The pocket nappies (10 baby cheeks- New Zealand seconds) I brought on ebay are TERRIFIC!!! but I brought bamboo pea pod inserts for them. Then I found 10 secondhand bubba j pockets on ebay.. so brought them... then more bamboo inserts for them.... then night nappies... 2x sandmans cause they are meant to be terrific  and 2 x wool eco baby pocket cause they were on special!!!! Oh i'm out of controll and in love...... I also got some Eenees microfiber inserts... then found in woolworths (the car care section) packs of three microfiber cloths, exactly the same as the Eenees but way cheaper!!!! so got six packs of them!!! But i'm helping save the environment!!! I have given my credit card to DH, as I seem to have lost all will power!! I feel obsessed, but so free at the same time. I have enough and need no more. I highly recommend cloth. Thanks for listening to my rambles... Emma

I ordered my cloth diapers...They should be coming on Monday....They are the bumgenius 3.0.  All-in-one and one size....Since my baby is so little, I did not want to get one that was to big for him, or have to keep buying different sizes...So we'll see how these are....I'll let you know after I get them.  I've only ready great reviews about them, so here's hoping!

Well actually they haven't arrived but because they didn't have inserts I have made some more puchases!! Well, the terry cloth might work, but then again they might not! So... I brought pea pod bamboo trifold inserts and Eenees microfiber cloth nappies. I figure if i use them together I have a fool proof nappy system! Will let you know when the pocket actually arrive how I go!! Have pre washed the bamboo and hemp. so already to go!!! Hopefullty tommorrow. Emma

Modern Cloth is so addictive!!The whole reason I wanted to stay with traditional flats! However... I gave into the temptation and splashed out on some New Zealand pockets called Baby Cheeks. I figured it was justified as I could use my old thin terry squares as the inserts for them!!! Lets hope that works, otherwise I will be forced into buying insersts as well. I paln on using them at night first and see if we can get dear daughter sleeping through withour a nappy change. I'll let you know how I go. Emma

Hi, my name is Emma. I'm a newbie to Minti and Cloth (not cloth..but Modern Cloth!) I am currently using terry flats on my 7 month old daughter and have been doing this full time for around 4 months now. I have built a stash of brilliant covers!!! 4 Motherease airflow, 4 Bubba J wool wraps, 1 Stacinator(secondhand), 5 knitted shorties (secondhand) and 2 knitted longies(secondhand but as new!). But I am finding my nappies are now getting tiredI mostly have target brand delux flats which where large & kept their shape. I also have actil coloured (thin and lose shape easily) and some secondhand driglo. I like flats and would like to get some more, can anyone recommend some? New or secondhand? Also I am tempted to go fitteds but not sure where to start. I suppose i'd like to look for some fitteds for night first, so I don't have to do three night changes (two on a good night!). Any suggestions? I'm not really interested in AIO, pockets etc as I have all these wonderful covers to use and they have cost me quiet a bit, so I want to get my use out of them! I also need to know about bamboo and hemp. I have 9 hemp boosters which seem ok. Which is better and why? What brands are good for fitteds? Value for money? (mandy Mac, baby beehinds, cute tooshies???Brands I've heard) Any suggestions and advice greatly appreciated!! Emma

   

Just had to show our last fluffy mail. My little boy is no longer in nappies during the day. He only wears nappies at night. I am getting a bigger Wild Child night nappy but this is the one he used last night. It was great.
