yeast infection from cloth diapers

by lilysmomComment Published at 15:2515:251 comments1 comments235 Visits235 VisitsReport
Ok, so, I switched to cloth when Lily was a month old, cuz the disposables gave her some wierd sores (i tried cholorine free and the same result). My problem now is, since she's sleeping though the night, she's gotten 2 horrible yeast infections. The dr said its from the cloth diapers, and pretty much told me to switch back to disposables. I tried to talk to her about the sores she gets, but she wouldn't really pay me any mind (yes i'm getting a new pediatrician!!!). Anyway, has anyone else had this kind of problem? I have tried powders and cornstarch and barrier creams and nothing works.

Musical Nap!

by mcmComment Published at 16:5116:510 comments0 comments122 Visits122 VisitsReport

This is my bub in his new musical nappy made by
Pookey Pockets. It is so well made and I just love the print.
The inner is chocolate velour and it has 2 snap in boosters.
It is a fitted nappy which needs a cover but I will show it off
when I can!

DIY nappies

by RachallComment Published at 21:1021:103 comments3 comments169 Visits169 VisitsReport
Anyone out there make the modern cloth nappies? I am going to try but am finding it hard to find some of the materials and would love someone else to bounce ideas off. I am going to put this on the Q & A also for anyone not in this group.

Thanks

by RachallComment Published at 21:3221:321 comments1 comments113 Visits113 VisitsReport
I would like to say thanks to all who have answered my questions so far. I started Josh on cloth nappies this afternoon and I can not beleive it. He normally sooks and carries on at nappy change time, but today he has been laying quietly while I chnage his nappy and even after it is done he still just lays there for a bit.

I think he really likes cloth nappies, he hasn't even tried to take the pilcher off and he would normally try to take his disposable off if he had no pants over it. I also tried a few folds and have found one I like and that fits him snugly.

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if this is a pocket nappy or cover? I was going through my baby clothes and found this (pictured).

Can I use a hemp liner in an old fashioned cloth nappy?

by MumKimComment Published at 17:3117:311 comments1 comments166 Visits166 VisitsReport
I have been given some old fashioned flat cloth nappies. Is is possible and desirable to use a hemp or bamboo liner with one of these? If so what sort do you recommend? Thanks Kim

All- In - Ones

by mcmComment Published at 00:2300:230 comments0 comments90 Visits90 VisitsReport
All in ones or AIOs are a nappy which is all inclusive - no need for a cover or stuffing. So it is a fitted and cover in one. I don't have many of these though they are very convenient and easy to use.
