Hi, it certainly can be confusing can't it! The best way to do it is to buy in bulk to start with. I have 3 different types of cloth nappies - 2 types of pocket nappies and one type of all-in-one - and the best I have found is the Bum Genius as they grow with your baby, they are a pocket nappy so you put the absorbent pad into them & they come with 2 of these - a normal one and a booster. Here's the website so you can have a look. I also like the Baby Beehinds but you have to have different sizes as your baby grows, so it works out dearer.
