Flybabies
Some of us on Minti have discovered the Flylady website to help us develop the skills and strategies to organise our lives and clean our homes. This group is for Minti Flybabies to encourage each other on our path to better organised homes and lives.
We know that sometimes we will slip backwards and that is ok. We are all here to encourage each other and share our successes and stumbles.
I found Flylady after reading Frontier's article Getting Things Done a bit at a time. A few weeks later I was inspired to write Let the Flylady help you get organized to cruise through Christmas. Through these articles other members also found Flylady and the suggestion was made to start this group.
Since this group was started another member has written a great article on adapting the Flylady's advice
If you are interested in joining please check out the website and sign up to recieve the yahoo emails.

Now the wardrobe clean up is over. I´m proud, 2 big bags for donation. But I think it is rude to donate old worn-out shoes. I know "one womans trash, is another womans treasure" but I don´t think that homeless people have a need for my uncomfy worn-out leather boots:

Because people are not economically well off, doesn't mean they deserve trash. Do you agree with me? Donation items or are my old worn-out leather boots just gross yucky stuff which belong straight into the trash bag together with the non-recycable waste like dirt, used tissues and leftover food? Need your opinion ladies! |

I really can not understand what inspired me....
I know what went though my head when I read about flylady....and yet...sheeze, what a difference already.....
I have kept the sink thing going and for 5 days.....and it sparkles and shines....and so many people have noticed the difference too.....
Jen and Luke have kept the dishes washed and put away and I even caught Luke giving the sink a wipe after washing his plate....lol...do ya know what sort of a miracle that is...lol
So I'm in love with my kitchen again......
It sill needs a bit of work but thats what renovating is all about......

I joined the site today after reading someones blog and 10 minutes later i had a nice shiny sink......
Can't say the same tonight yet as we have just finished dinner.
Am scared about tomorrow though as unless i am going out i usually stay in my jammies to save on washing lol......
Well tomorrow is a new day
So who knows

Great idea Kim! (saw you put this in one of your comments) So far I am successful in both....lol
Well, day 4 is accomplished, my little notes are up in the bathroom and kitchen, though not sure if the hot water will steam up and stop the sticky, so may need to look into ways to ensure their durability. So far I am doing ok i think. Just gotta keep on keeping on.
Peace

Three days of shiny sink. And because it is shiny I keep it clear of dishes - they may be on the bench - but not on the shiny sink....lol. It is my practice to wash up before i go to bed if i havent done it earler in the day anyhow. So it is always gorgeous int he mornings. That was the best thing ever me finding that starter bit. Also am more into tidying the toys with E and making sure she puts things back in place instead of wherever she put them before (sometiems not in the right box) and doing them myself later on. Her new reward chart is helping us both heaps.
Glad you guys are here and doing this too - it does help!
Peace

But....I was also pretty inspired by what I read so clean my sink I did and I am stoked! I actually feel like I have accomplished something already. So day 2 here I come!!
Also thanks for the invite ....

Well guys, I am a new FlyBaby, and with the newness comes that initial devotion to making change, so all is good. YAY!
My sink is cleaned as per January instructions. Personally it is something I have been trying to achieve for a while, so I am glad to have found a method that works - that window cleaner jobbie stinks! But it is wonderful stuff. Works a treat for me.
Last year my aim was to become a lady - well not all in one year, but adapt to wearing skirts on occasion, wear lippy and my watch every day. Eyeliner when I went out and never be out in sweatpants etc. So I shall continue with that this year - I actually achieved it last year so the continuation should do-able.
Looking forward to sharing my many bumps as I fall off the wagon as well as my achievements as I get some more proper order into this place I call a home.
Peace
