CJ was born on 14 September 2000. Apparently babies born in the year 2000 are 'golden dragons' which is meant to be the luckiest of the chinese zodiac. (or at least I'm told).
I was lucky to have a quick hour and a half labour and fortunately made it onto the hospital table before I delivered all 9.10 of him. (Thankfully he is my last child).
Today he is a very lively 7 old who is obsessed with star wars, star wars lego and star wars playstation games..you get the idea.
He also has High Functioning Autism and ADHD so his life isn't easy sometimes. He is a very loving and sweet boy and I adore him. I can't imagine life without him. (Sometimes thats a scary though..lol).
I hope his future holds that he will be able to be independent and most of all be happy in whatever life has in store for him.
Our Golden Dragon/Millenium babies are very special! We are very lucky parents indeed.

I got pregnant at the tender age of 19. I had just finished high shcool the year before, and getting pregnant had not been on my list of things to do....
I was scared and alone. The father, being only 16, ran away fast then I'd ever seen in all my life. I was thankful for the support of my family and friends.
My angel was born on the 24 th of Feburary, 2000. At 4:30 am I went into labour. I called my mom, who came to take me to the hospital. By the time I made it there, I was only a rough 4 cm. Labour lasted a horrible 12 hours... not long, but long enough... And then finally, there she was... 6 lbs, 13 ozs, 19 inches long....
It's nice to remember that 12 horrible hours... She's now going to be 7 in a few weeks, and sometimes, I wish I was doing that 12 hours again, so that I can have these 7 years to spend with her again. She's going so fast, and now that scares me.
She's my only girl, and she's perfect.... a true angel. |

My first bub was a 2000 baby, she is very special as she was born prem. I was in labour for 23 hours without realising, When I got to hospital, the nurse said i was most likely miscarrying, and i had my dates wrong . (I am very little and dont look pregnant ever) she said I'll be back in a little while, Im very Busy at the moment (Bi#ch). When she came back, I was quite upset, Hubby was getting angry, she said Okay, I'll Have a look, Boy was she shocked when she seen a foot . Well she finally believe me, Called an ambulance, and i was rushed to the city, I had a c section cause she was breach, and i dont fully dilate. (I have had LETZ done) she was born at 32 weeks, weighing 1998, she was very healthy, and i was able to feed her strait away- well within an hour or 2. She looked just like a skinned rabbit, but was very special to us. She had no problems and only had jaundice, we where both home within 11 days . She is now the tallest person in her class and done really well at school last year, above average on everything, I was so proud. she is a great big sis to her two little sisters. |

My beaming ray of sunshine was dragged into this world kicking and screaming on the 9th of August . He was 12 days overdue and still wasnt ready to be born when he was! Being as overdue as i was i was induced, and after a "brief" 4 hr labour my little man had arrived. I got to hold him briefly before he was whisked way into the special care nursery, he was suffering some respiratory difficulty. God how helpless and useless did i feel not know what was wrong, not being able to hold him or go to him because i was confined to the stupid bed.
The first time i saw him after the delivery he was in a cot in the SCU with his head in what i can only describeas a plastic box...it was akin to an oxygen tent.. and was helping him breathe. He had an iv in his arm so they could administer antibiotics in case he had an infection. He spent 48 hours like that. Luckily, there was nothing terribly wrong with him and most of what they were doing was purely pre-cautionary. However, having said that, it was the worst 48 hours of my entire life. I can only begin to imagine how mothers of seriously ill newborns or premature babies feel.
We came home after about 5 days in the hospital. He was healthy, i was healthy (if not a little battle scarred..lol). He was a good baby. Mostly he fed and slept, often needing to be woken for his feeds. He was a big boy, and i referred to him as my lil buddah.
I watched him grow into the loving boy he is now. Affectionate, sensitive, cheeky and definitely "one of the boys". He is my little man, and i am proud to be his mum.

My Daughter was born boxing day of 2000, even tho her due date was the 21st, people always told me i would be in hospital christmas day. Thankfully for me and my family i didnt go into labour until christmas night.
I was told at 18 that i couldn't have children due to very severe endimitriosis, My husband and i decided that on our 4th anniversary of being a couple (oct 1999) that we would be married the following october(2000), imagine my suprise at bein told that i was 8 weeks pregnant the day after my size 8 weddin dress arrived at the bridal shop!!!! After a very hectic month we managed to bring the weddin forward to August, and my lovely growing belly was nicely concealed under my dress (handy considering we were being married in a catholic church).
My 6 yr old has finished her first year of kindergarten and is readily looking forward to year 1( well we both are!!)
She is a very dramatic little girl, a lot llike other 2000 babies as i have read from previous entries, it is nice to know that im not the only one out there with a year 2000 drama queen/king! |

My son, Lachlan, was also born in 2000, On June 26th. He has just finished his 1st year of school and is glad that it's finally the holidays. He has been getting so tired recently and the teacher said it's not uncommon for the preps to be feeling the pinch at this time of year. Especially with so Much going on with xmas and all. There has been xmas concert at his school that he particiapated in and class parties, throw in a Mini Fete and even I'm Pooped!!! I think we both deserve a good rest and are looking forward to the holidays and going away together, although i dare say i'd be wishing him back at school in 2 weeks!!!!! |

My 2000 girl is such a delight and nightmare all at once he he. Caring, loving, funny, so so entertaining (even got a clown costume for her early Christmas and hasnt taken it off yet - its been 2 days, definitely a mind of her own, independent, best cuddles. On the other hand, major tomboy, will fight anyone who disagrees with her, aggressive, no concentration, messy, LOUD, etc. I wouldnt have her any other way but now I have to go and try and pry the clown costume from her - its starting to smell |

My son was born on the 13th April 00, he has a very bad habit of picking on his 2 younger sisters when me or my partner have left the room. I personally think he enjoys hearing them cry cause I've caught him & he had this cheeky grin on his face, where as my partner believes we need to make another boy to accompany our son. He's our only boy as we have 3 girls, we've had a talk to him but it just doesn't seem to be sinking in....Help!!! |
