My beautiful cherub, Adam was born on the last day of the financial year 2005 in Aus.
A beautiful fun child, with a strong independent streak. Also carrying a bit of a temper.
My baby. My youngest. |

Ailish just turned 2 on Christmas day, her speach is coming along in leaps and bounds, but when we had the occassional tanty, since her actual birthday it's been as though a switch was flicked and we have tanty's several times per day, of course we have also all been ill with the flu, so perhaps thats more the reason, but she has also started to bashing up the dog, whom she previously was rather kind to and no amount of explaining, or growling seems to make a differance, was it instantanious for anyone else when your kids turned 2.... it's facinating really. |

Summer is here, and you must be looking forward to a well deserved break! As you get ready for summer, here are some valuable pointers for ways that can help from Schoolparent.net site:
1) Preparation for next school year – New KG parents, New Officers/Volunteers
KG parents are typically very anxious about this new phase in their children’s lives. Schoolparent.net site will enable these parents to connect with one another and others in the school. The new school year also brings new officers, committee chairs, volunteers – schoolparnet.net can help these parents and teachers with resources and tools to make the school activities easier to coordinate.
2) Summer Tips
There are a lot of activities going on during the summer break, and we all could use tips. Schoolparent.net have created a category in the Forums section of their site which you can use to exchange information with other school parents. You can start posting to the following topics or add others as needed: Camp suggestions/reviews, Family Day/Weekend trip ideas, Fun Activities & Projects, Seeking Play Dates, Seeking Babysitter/Childcare referrals, Recipes to try out.
3) Connecting with Summer Camp parents
You may want to get to know parents in the camps your children attend. You can do this on schoolparent.net site by creating an Interest Group for your summer camp. You can request camp staff to help get the word out to other parents – all these parents need to do is to sign-up to schoolparent.net site and then join the relevant camp interest group. In this way, you get a directory of camp parents. Here is an example of a camp group that could be created in this manner:
Group State: CA
Group City/Town: Palo Alto
Group Name: iD Tech Camps – Summer 2007
Group Description: Summer 2007 group for parents attending this combined tech + sports camp

2005' - Year of the Rooster
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rooster_(zodiac)
www.baby-talk.co.uk/rooster.htm
If you or your child was born in the Chinese year sign of the rooster you have far to go. Roosters are full of confidence, fearless and brave. They will take on an adversary far superior to themselves if they believe they are in the right.
If they can control their impulsive streak they are usually successful in business. Intelligent and ambitious, Roosters work hard and like to be in control, often successfully running their own businesses.
People born under this sign are extroverts and enjoy the company of others. They do not like to be criticised and their self-esteem can crumble if they are ridiculed.
Roosters hate to be bored and can be deliberately provocative if life is too dull. |

What a bugger, we don't really have much in common with any of your littlies coz of the age difference sigh. We are only 16 months (Christmas day 25/12/05), talking lots of words, the other day she said Dare is whilst pointing, and then yesterday it was Bye daddy on the phone. Today she called herself A-ish instead of just Sshhhh (It's Ailish), she has between 20 & 30 words so far. BUT....................we don't walk yet. She didn't crawl until she was one and 2 weeks old exactly and then just took off as though she'd been doing it all along, I happened to be taping her playing with blocks at the time when she got sick of them & crawled towards me and the camera, rather funny footage of her bobbing head & me Oh my godding and jumping up and down in excitement. Is anyone at least in December?????? be nice to not compare babiesin a competitive way but in a learning what might be coming next kind of way. |

Hi. I have a son that was born in April 2005, we just celebrated his second birthday last week and I can't believe how fast he's growing. He will have a brother or sister soon, second bub is due in 6 weeks. |

My son is now 26 months and very very talkative, though with limited vocabulary, which frustrates him. Sometimes he gets into telling me what he wants but he doesn't know the words so he ends up pointing empathically and making gestures.
He doesn't speak clearly yet, but he does have a lot of vocabulary. It sometimes takes great effort for me and my hubby to figure out what he's saying, espcecially that he has started preschool. |
