Nappy rash

by Practical-PrincessComment Published at 18:4118:410 comments0 comments168 Visits168 VisitsReport
When my eldest was a baby she developed bad nappy rash due to the Daycare carers not changing her enough! I was put onto Paw Paw Ointment and I tell you it is the best stuff out! Prior to using it I had tried different nappy rash creams, which helped somewhat, but the paw paw ointment cleared the rash faster than the nappy rash creams!

It's also great for insect bites and other skin irritations. It's one of those creams that can be used for almost anything! It's available in most supermarkets as well as in chemists.

Babies in the heat

by Practical-PrincessComment Published at 20:3220:320 comments0 comments108 Visits108 VisitsReport
It's often hard to keep babies cool in the heat of summer. A good way to help them cool off is to lay them on a damp towel wearing only their nappy. A spray bottle is handy to re-moisten the towel when need-be.

Ear infections

by Practical-PrincessComment Published at 21:1121:113 comments3 comments230 Visits230 VisitsReport
Kids often get ear infections. When my son was younger he got a lot of them. The doctor gave me this advice and it works! I even use it on myself if I have an earache...

Use a blow dryer on the ear. Put on a low setting and don't hold it too close to the ear. Just allow the air to gently blow into the ear. The warmth melts the waxy build-up inside the ear, helping to unblock it.
