Get to know me better

I have not been on here in 3 years and I miss it so here is who I am... A mom of three wonderful children. My eldest boy is 10 he's an amazing soccer player and loves math, science & history but wishes "english" in a school setting did not exist. My middle son whose 6 has Tuberous Sclerosis & Epilepsy and is the sweetest kid you will ever meet with a smile that lights up the room and a love of music. My youngest child is a girl, 5, with beautiful big brown eyes and ringlet curls that just make the fact that she is coo-coo all the more cute :)...I love Baking and Cooking and hope to one day opening up my own small bakery or cafe...My PASSION [aside from my kids, which are a given] this is going to sound silly is COOKBOOKS, I LOVE THEM, reading them, looking over reviews for new/old ones and of course using them.

Hi i am new and not to sure what i'm doing!

I am almost 30 years and have 3 wonderful children and have a wonderful partner! I love crafts, gardening, spending time with my family and entering competitions ! I don't have many friends anymore i have lost track of them to look after my family as they have needed me alot over the last few years, but i would like to make some on here : )

I'm 24 years old, I just got married November 13 of last year to my wonderful hubby. We have 2 children, a boy (almost 3 years old) and a girl (just over 2 months old). I'm a stay at home mom after having a long career managing a jewellery store and before that I worked in radio and newspaper. We recently bought our third home and look forward to moving our little family there soon. I'm the eldest child of 5, three younger brothers and a sister. I love to write, it's my passion. My family and I are vegetarian and have been for nearly a year. We love trying out new recipes. I'm happy to have found this site as I'm always curious as to how other parents are handling their children and am always looking for some new and good ideas to use on mine. I'm always up for a chat so I look forward to speaking to you.

My names Carissa im 22, im originally from New Zealand but now live in Brisbane, i have a daughter Dakotah she was born 10/10/10 she will be 10 months soon (cant believe how fast time has gone), im a qualified pastry chef. Im engaged but in no hurry to get married there is still penty time for that.

Hello everyone! My name is Lisa and I'm a SAHM to 2 boys, ages 7 and 4.5. We are in the process of yet another transfer across this teeny tiny country of ours (Canada) - this is our 5th major move with the RCMP (my DH is a mountie) in 9 years - and my family left today to camp on the Gaspe Peninsula, leaving me behind to supervise the movers and clean and close up the house (just call me Cinderella...). I do have our German Shepherd, Ella, to keep me company. I will meet up with them in Quebec City at the in-laws house.

We are a bilingual family. My DH is French-Canadian and I am the token anglophone. We are raising our children to speak both languages and it is rather humbling how quickly they outstripped me in the French department. Now when I read French books to them, they correct my pronounciation. Little upstarts.

I have a few hobbies that have kept me entertained during all of our transitions into new communities and as a mother of young children. I took up quilting a few years ago which quickly became a passion of mine. Now that I am not so concerned with my little ones getting entangled in my iron's cord, tossing pins and needles about the room, or playing Mario Andretti on my sewing machine, I have more time to devote to my creative process. I also love to make everything I can think of from scratch. I have mastered pizza dough, bread, crackers, bagels, pasta, among others, and lately have found making layer cakes and maple leaf cookies a lot of fun, but slightly dangerous in the hips department. I also like to stay in shape by hiking with my trusty companion, Ella. My boys are also getting into sports now and love swimming, soccer, golf and, of course, hockey (yes, it's true, we indoctrinate our young into the Canadian obsession with hockey at an early age).

I will be hitting the road - we're driving over 4,000 km in 3 weeks to get to our new destination - at the end of the week and will be missing in action for awhile. I am looking forward to meeting and sharing with many of you in the near future.

 Just thought It would be nice to see who likes who :)

My fave is Luna Lovegood

The character is just a step out of line with everyone else, She knows stuff but seems so clueless. On a different playing field but still "normal". As you can see I can't really explain it but she is my fave :)

I love sewing and craft. Just seeing if there was any like minded people out there that love the same. I do patchwork,sewing clothes and some knitting.
