I would buy myself an aquamarine pendant on a white gold necklace...blue is my favorite colour and aquamarine gems are so very pretty...

Well my wedding ring is white and yellow gold and my engagement ring gold and a beautiful diamond - and I love them!  But I think if I was to buy something for myself right now I would love a bit of genuine amber on gold - not a precious stone I know.  I don't really wear a lot of jewellery and most of what I do buy is handcrafted and natural stuff.

My favourie metal is yellow gold (must be 18ct) or rose gold (also 18ct) and my favourite gem is Amethyst.  It is my birthstone and my grandma left me a beautiful rose gold ring with an amethyst in it.

My favourite metal would be bronze, I just love the colour of it, so warm. My favorite gem would be smoky quartz as i love autum colours browns and yellows.

saphires my engagement ring is actually a saphire  and i also have another saphire. i go a diamond for our silver anniversary(25 years} i used to like silver when i was single but now i like yellow gold but my weddig band is rose gold

we got married overseas and they (greece ) have rose gold hubby and i have the nmatching wedding bands . they are wide and plain.

Yellow gold for me.  I love sapphires and emeralds. but currently wear a gold and diamond ring, gift from my mom. And an Indian coin ring, also gold passed down from my mom.

Most of my jewellery is silver.I wear my nan's gold ring and my aunty gave me a gold ring with a diamond, so i wear them for sentimental reasons. My favourite stone is amythest or emerald. I also like pink quartz.. I have a huge earring collection with lots off different colours but my day to day ones are my sliver crosses.

I love white gold or silver.  Being a red head, the yellow gold doesn't suit me very well.  My fave stone?  Probably lavender cubic zirconia.  Or amythest.  Or diamonds.  Sigh, peridot is nice too!  Oh heck, if it sparkles and catches my eye, what does it matter what colour it is! lol.

Well in the past I was always a sapphire person.  But since being married diamonds have been lovely...  And yep platinum gold.. :)

i love white gold but have yellow gold jewlery atm. my prefered stone is either an amerthist or emerald. i also like the deep red rubies.

White gold & emeralds for me. Rubies are another favourite.

OH dear how are we to decide? I am liking emeralds and sapphires at the moment, the deeper the colour the better! I am converting to yellow gold, with all my jewlery so had better stick to that!

arnt you all a varied group for years ive had yellow gold and all diamonds except a ring off my gran with an emrald that i wear for sentimental reasons really wouldnt be my choice, i had a faze of liking white gold but then i found out how much it cost to continually re dip them and had second thoughts lol i dont wanna be seperated from my rings plus have you noticed how funny your fingers look when you strip all of them off?

I would have to get Yellow gold with a Diamond. However, one of my most prized possesions is a tear shaped Australian Black Opal in a Yellow gold setting with a diamond. I love it!

all the rings i own are yellow gold with diamond..i also love the stone jade.I have a gold bracelet with them gems on each link..

Yellow or rose gold, and a natural Australian Sapphire (deep blue)

Silver or Platinum for me Helen, not a gem person so would pass on that. Though the odd chunky glass pendant in a funky set of beeds is a bit of a treat.
