As the title says, I am wondering how many people on here actually check their watchlists. I for one do, as I like to catch up on new comments posted on "older" questions/blogs/etc.
I used to watch it religiously, but now I'm not on as often, it's just cumbersome to go and check it. I just go and check certain groups and blogs, and I check my own blogs and lounge for recent entries. Mind you, if someone made an entry against an old blog I'm likely to miss it.
I wish I could . . BUT mine takes hours to load so I have given up . . So I now do it the hard way . . By reading the activity page each night if I get time . . So if I don't get to you that is why . . .
No because it is way too much to check and the computer is way too slow to load it all. However I get a watchlist sent to my e-mail inbox every morning so when I check my e-mails I always see something interesting to click on and it brings me here. Then I am just cruising around checking who is on at the time ( latest activity). Then I go to friends who have visited my lounge or blog to check on them, then who knows? I am a free baller once I get on here really.
If I did that, I'd be here forever! lol. I keep the minti homepage open and watch the activity there. I also follow those who have stopped by my page, and when minit is snoozing, prowl through my friends list and see what's been going on, taking a few members at a time, grabbing some of their advice and just generally trying to keep with them! lol.
I like this way better so I can pop in on people who I haven't seen around for a while.
Absolutely. For me it is the easiest way to keep up with people.
As soon as I request a friendship I add that person to my watchlist and if someone else requests my friendship I add them even before I accept the friendship. On saying that there have been times I have forgotten and then added later and had millions of entries on my watchlist (that may be slightly exaggerated)!
Yes, I check it every day. I have my friends blogs in there as well as groups I like to take part in. That way I can keep an eye on the people I care about - and I also avoid a lot of the crap that goes on! If there's not much there, I'll look at Q&A and read advice. Don't really check the activity page much - maybe I should!
Yes, i usually go and check it. It's a good way to catch up but i agree that it can get a tad annoying when you get all the old posts. It is much faster now than it use to be and for a while there i couldn't be bothered with it, it was just too slow, but now it is better. This is how i came across this post!
I go through my watchlist every morning as I like to make sure I don't miss anything, some does still slip through but I do like the watchlist function
Oh, is there something else to watch? JK. I definitely keep an eye on it, though it is a tad annoying when I sign up for something new and I get all the old posts for, like, two months back. I usually just make sure I've checked all the recent stuff I want to and then clear!
Yes! Although when i log on i go straight to the activity list, watchlist is my next port of call. Its the only way I know to keep tabs on everything. Although i agree with Izzy, it does get crazy long sometimes.LOL
