Hey y'all, so I am in the market for a new car (my current car needs a loan and a half to fill up at the pump). These are the two cars that caught my eye because they look nice and roomy for my little angels to ride in. These are also the two that seem to be easier on the eyes and easier on my wallet as I am raising my babies on my own.
The two cars I was looking at were the Dodge Magnum and the Ford Freestyle; both 2005 models (that’s the year my oldest was born). They look nice all around (they look good on gas but they don’t look gimmicky or tank-like in shape).
Specifically, I would like to know how "kid friendly" these two are cars are. How easy would it be to put the car seats in? Can I fit more than one car seat? Would it be relatively easy to check on my angels as I am on the road? Their safety is my main concern... Mommy SOS

Hi to all my Minti friends,
Things are slowly getting back to normal around our house - I did think once - Would they ever get back to normal?
My hubby has been quite sick Easter - got better - went back to work - then his health concerns started all over again?!! He hasn't been able to work 'cause of it!! Which is not good as he has to see a specialist - but get an apptment to see this specialist yet!!
There are days where he can hardly get out of bed - no energy!! His health concerns started from blood clots in his legs - went from bad to worse!! So now I'm doing things for both of us and getting the kids to school!! He has improved but he has to have an op to fix the prob, too!!
I'm so tired alot lately - try to rest during the day - but there is always plenty of things to do - household chores, things school related and generally just worrying about the bills to pay!!
There is days where I don't feel like getting out of bed myself - let alone - to do anything that I have to do - at the best of times!!
The kids have been at each other alot lately - mainly all school related problems coming home!! I just feel there are days where I get so weighed down by all this, too!! Know what I mean?!!
Then Centrelink seems to join in to make our lives more unbearable, too!! I'm under enough stress and worry regarding my hubby and kids and then they add to the pile - don't they?!!
Gee,I feel heaps better - getting that off my chest - so to speak today!!
When I start feeling that things are starting to get a little better - something always unravels my thoughts and feelings, too!! But I guess I still can say that I can still smile and have a good laugh when things do seem rather tough on all sides, too!!
Thanks for listening to me - so glad that there is MINTI - a most worthy webpage, too!!
If anyone has any thoughts on how to deal with anything that has happened to us - that it would be truly - fanastic!!
Cheers,Roz. |

Hello once again to everyone! i have an update on th "junkie scum" blog i wrote 4 weeks ago. Well, just a few days ago i heard my big old guard dog at it again. i was so worried, it was 10am and it was only my baby daughter and i home. I looked out the back window and couldnt see anything so i shrugged it off and started walking towars the front of the house. There was a man there looking around in my front court yard!!! he wondered off after a few seconds and i tried to ignore it. Then i heard the dog going absolutley crazy again, this time i called my next door neighbour (we have a block of units with all young men and girls next door). He told me he would come stright over (very nice guy) and on his way across he saw the same man trying to get over our large fence into our back yard. He went stright up to the man and confronted him. This was an old guy, in his 50's with tattoos up his arms, nuckles and knees bleeding and stunk like pot, he also had dillated pupils and he was grinding his teeth, absolutley high on something!!! so anyway the man did a runner and the neighbour came over to check on me, we called the police, gave a discription and still nothing. It may not be related to our first break and enter but im seriously considering giving up my dream home with cheap rent to go somewhere safer for the family. im so affried to be home by myself. anyway, had to vent |

Hi all,
I was wondering if someone could share their thoughts with me, I have just found out after a year of court cases and statements etc... That my father in law has been jailed for molesting a young girl, he was sentenced and is now serving 2months out of 9months. This is a pretty hefty sentence for a supposed "cleanskin" according to the prosecution(someone with no previous convictions)so therefore the judge obviously seen reason for him to be in jail., now my kids father and I have made a united decision (as there is history of his father having a "thing" for pre pubescent girls) to sever all contact with his father..we did this after the initial complaint was made..Long story short his charges also included that he was not to reside live next door to work with or have any contact with a minor. I found out the other day that my sister in law with 4 children, had him stay there with her leading up to the sentencing. SHE made one of the initial statements saying he was guilty, SHE had the police remove them from her home...so in my heart I know she knows that he is guilty...She ended up going to court to sit in support of him, in the courtroom, with a 16mth old and her 3.5 yr old daughter, knowing there was a chance of him being taken away in cuffs...which he was....am I selfish or stupid for thinking that this is all wrong?? Her friends seem to support her,but I worry about the kids having to always process the severe emotional baggage that comes with a dysfuntional family...especially of this nature...and I know that she allows no access to counselling or even just the school guidance officer, she cut us off a couple of months back for no apparent reason so the kids have NO FAMILY around them, and now its all beginning to make sense...she cut us off because she was supporting him...The family of the child are disgusted that she had the nerve to show up at the sentencing, simply due to the fact she gave statemnets to support their case from the beginning.....ugh I had to get that out...please let me know what your thoughts are....I am very confused |

Well i am absolutley outraged! i no i worte the last blog but today.... AGGHHH im soooo angry! yes boys and girls im wild-up!
last night, while sleeping soundly with my patner by my side, my 5 month old daughter asleep in her cot across the room and my 10 year old step son down the hall, some FU*K head broke into our house!!! as if that wasnt bad enough, they broke in through OUR bedroom and we didnt even stir! how can i wake when my daughter gives a small sound like a hicup but not when some drugged up loser in breaking in!
they took my wallet, my patners wallet and the nappy bag next to the front door! i wish i had left a big stinky in there for them! but as they stole our wallets they left behind digital cameras, lap tops, x-box etc! and this is the thing that really scares me, as they came in, they woke my daughter so i got up and made her a bottle, i no they woke her cos it was only 2 hours from her last and she usally sleeps longer then that. So as im makeing her bottle, this loser was lurking around in the dark probably watching me.... im getting goose bumps again!
we also have a MASSIVE dog in the yard and apparintly she was barking really aggressivly but we slept through but the neighbours heard cos in the morning they came over to see what was wrong with her.
But it seems my street was hit! a man down the road found my wallet, of corse no cash, and said he and 3 others in his building where also broken into. A neighbour on the other side had two cars trashed and broken into.
Well the police have come around and taken finger prints off my car (yes they got into that aswell, but i dont keep anything valuable in there.... they did steal ONE pink bootie and left the other) now im just hoping they catch the bugger!
PHEW, i had to get that off my cheast.... thanks guys! |

i have a step-son who i pick up and drop off at school each day, in the after noons, me and my five month old daughter stroll to the school and walk home. Well today i thought i would branch out a bit, make some news friends and at my step sons school (very ritzie) i went for it. I approched the yummy mummies that all sit together and gossip (just like high school) and tried to have a chat. They where all dolled up to pick up the kids, inlcuding perfect make up, perfect hair, perfect nails and guccie hand bags, designer shoes etc. I walk over in my jeans, flip flops, daggy shirt and a little bit sweaty from my walk on a hot day... i was given more then the cold shoulder, i was COMPLETELY ignored, not even a hello as i tried to sit with them. It felt like high school all over again! i couldnt believe the nerve of these wemon! just makes me wonder what type of children they are bringing up. Hopefully nothing like them! |

I know too many people bitch about their husband's Ex - wife but ugh! First she calls and asks if hubby and I will watch oldest daughter for a week so her and her husband can go to Disney world! Disney World without taking her children!?!
So then she calls back a day later and says we've changed our mind, Chelsie (youngest daughter) was upset that they'd be going, so they are going to wait until easter and take THE GIRLS as an Easter gift. THE GIRLS! Not her son as well , who lives with me, but THE GIRLS. Normally Im good at holding my tounge but not this time! The girls I say ? Are you forgetting that you have 3 children , not 2. So she says she cant afford to take him so his heart is broken and he's pretty well hating his mother for the moment and I don't blame him. He says " Tracy, you would never do that." and I say " your right , I could never take Skylier (my son) and not take the other 3 of you it's not right and it's not fair, but your mom and I are different people"
So this time Im not playing peace maker , I refuse. I will not ask him to calm down or settle down cause I feel he has every right to be upset and mad with his mother. As of right now he doesn't want to speak to her. |
