Hi all, our High School is holding a Melbourne Cup Day Luncheon on Tuesday 6th November at Everton Park (Northside). Cost $25 (book and pay before Sept 21 only $20). This includes a 2 course lunch, tea/coffee, lucky door prize and spot prizes throughout the afternoon, games, entertainment, fashion parades. There will be raffles and sweeps as well.               I am a new member to Minti and think it is great. I am still learning my way around and found this great group for Brissy Parents.  I live in Eagleby (near Beenleigh) on the South Side of Brissy. Well actually, it is officially classed as the Northern Gold Coast.  I love living here.  We are only 40 minutes drive to the City and 25 minutes to Central Gold Coast.

                I have 3 kids, boy Aiden, 13 years, girl Angelique 11 years, and boy Brady 3.5 years.  Aiden plays AFL footy for our local club, Angelique plays the violin and is also in the school choir and Brady, just runs amok and annoys his older brother and sister, but he is my baby and always will be!

my family and i moved here this time last year.. i am loving it here.. im from canberra and can tell you i will never move back there.. im in ipswich and dont actually know anyone here yet.. my partner has met a few people thru work.. but none of them have children so its hard to spend time with them and get to know them as we have to take the children to houses that arent child proof.. which im sure you all understand.. you spend all your time telling them wat they cant touch and following behind them.. id love to hear from people thaqt live close to me that may want to get there children together with mine..

Hi how do you all feel about the recycleing of the sewerage water being put into our dams ? I am not sure how I feel as I know we have a severe wate rshortage. When I was nursing inProserpine years ago I know they recycled all water from the hospital and most of us didnt know about it . None if us got sick from that .

I live in Logan Central.  For those of you who don't know is south of Brisbane City.  There are alot of misconceptions about living in Logan but we have been here for over 13 years and love it.  We are not too far from the city and only about 45 minutes from the Gold Coast.  Some snobby people have asked my parents why they let me live here.  Have thay ever been here??  I would say not lately, and I am 36 and my parents really have no say anyway.

Hi .. grew up in Stanthorpe but moved to Brisbane in my teenage years and my family live there still.  Married a US Marine but two of my children were born at the Royal Women's.  Very proud to be from Brissie and have to say it is my favourite city still today.
