hi ive just moved down to the frankston area just wondering if there are any mums on minti that would like to meet up as i have no friends :( and really missing girly time...

hi there!

i dont live in melb anymore but im going on holiday there soon and meeting up with a few minti mums! dee (boredmum) and i thought we would see if anyone was interested in doing a minti meet up day?

once we have decided on a time and place everyone interested with be be given the meet up info privately.

Saturday was very hot even reaching 47 degrees celcius with many bushfires raging in Vicoria resulting in over 100 deaths and decimation of towns.

We've been inundated with offers of help for people affected by the bushfires, and requests from people and organisations dealing with the damage.

We've been overwhelmed by the generosity of Victorians offering help through our Can I Help message board - as you can see below.

Hundreds of offers of help have poured in and we're currently working through them as best we can. Unfortunately we are unable to process any more offers, but that doesn't mean you can't still help.

To donate blood call the Red Cross on 131 495

For donations of money please contact The Salvation Army or the Red Cross.

Please also donate any clothes, blankets or furniture to your nearest Salvation Army or other charity collection point.

To help with wildlife rescue please contact Wildlife Victoria.

To offer horse agistment please contact the Triple R Equine Welfare Crisis Network

For offers of accomodation for small animals please contact Animal Aid

what more can one say!

melbournians are having another 40 degree plus heat . we are in the middle of a hat wave and hot wind today

we are embracing ourselves and especially the country areas of victoria and our fellow south australians too. we can only pray that we wont experience bushfires. there were a few scrub fires yesterday that were under control

my heart goes out to all the pregnant women  babies and the elderly.

some areas had problems with their power last night and theire were areas where the traffic lights were out. lets hope the power can cope and that we dont experience any surges.

im going out at 12.30  at the heat of the day as im starting work at 1pm today. worse luck our air con doesnt work properly in our office. not much they can do as its a structural problem apparently

who has been out to chadstone  shopping centre lately?

safeway and aldi is now there and many more new shops

more competition going on now especially with the 3 supermarkets  coles no longer has all the sales to themselves so i find there is greater competition which means better specials for us consumers

just wanted other peoples opinion and whether there are any other  shops worth looking at with bargins

I dont know how active this group is anymore, but Ill give it a shot...

I have just moved to Melbourne with my lovely fiance Erik and our beautiful baby girl Isabelle who is 8 months.  Erik is a 31 yr old computer game designer and I am 30 and currently staying at home with Isabelle.

We are living in the northern suburbs, and were wondering if anyone would like to catch up for a coffee or something.  Isabelle and I dont want to end up sitting at home watching TV all day so we figured we would go online and shop for some new friends :)  any takers?
