Hi Tracey,
I live in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne and have a six month old boy. My husband was born overseas and i was living overseas with him up until 3 years ago when we made the big move over here. I am so glad i gave birth to my baby in melbourne, not only are my family here but the facilities and just surroundings are hard to beat.
It really is the best place for a family and people dont realise how lucky they are here. We have so many parks and just space to move, the support system for mothers is amazing, from mother's groups to events organised for children...
I don't mind the weather although wish it was little more stable but i love the fact that there is so much to do and see in this city!
