Born before 1980 » Group

I think maybe I was added to this group automatically.  I was born before 1980 but I do not have children born before then :o)  It was nice just to be added but I really think this group is more for others.  I hope I have not intruded in anyway and I applaud those of you that raised my generation :o)  I really think we were easier than this group we have now lol.  My fifteen year old is in a constant power struggle with me and it is driving me nuts.  I am sure I will find some great advices on how to handle these situations now that I have finally set up my little spot here on Minti.  Take care everyone and talk to you soon. 

I was wondering if stress goes with our age or is it just me . I was on anti depressents for a while but then I was realy unfeeling .Now I try to cope with vitamin B but with a 14 year old grandchild to look after .(worse than a 2 year old ) I just dont seem to be able to handel it .are there others like this or is it just me .

I have been added to this group automatically, My children are all young, does anyone know how to delete me off this group please.

I have my two daughters in the wide world, oldest is 30 with a fantastic husband and 3 children of her own, that is pagan mum of 3. They live in town so I get to see them every day and I get to keep them, I have the oldest one now and have had her for about a week, Hayley is 8, leaving Natalie 3 and Jacob 2 at home with mum. Hayley is going to her dad's for the weekend and then school starts so it is back to just weekends, I love school holidays.

Youngest daughter is 24 soon with a young one of her own, she lives in Queensland.

I also have 2 teenage boys at home, see child born 1990 and 1989.

wow it was so hard to let go of my last child l cryed on and off all year , l woould love to be a grandparent some day . l worked with children all my life as a cub scout leader and also as a teachers aide. so hi to all you older parents out there

hello, i'm not a grandparent but a family member on my partners side has taken on this role with the eldest sibling of 3 and the other 2 reside with mum. But any grandparent out there doing this good on ya because its not easy. Especially how this generation is so different as in for example the technology out there now.

Yes hello, I prefer the 80's too. Things are so different now that I have my own children. My Jamie loves the 80's too. I think theres too much image competition now as far as looks and video clips. Now always bout money.

Are there no other grandparents out there who have the care of their grandchildren ? I would realy love to share some thoughts on this situation .I am feeling lonely here . I know I am not the only one doing this
