You will not be breaking the Minti code if you provide evidence. What you have to keep in mind is that you should never cut & paste from another website and post it on Minti as your own. If you didn't write it, do not post it. But if you want to provide evidence, or point out great informatino from another website, the best thing to do is to provide the link.

Also, as you stated, it's hard to give evidence when you're writing from personal experience. Personal experience is actually evidence in itself. If you tell me something that worked for you, then that is your evidence.

Don't stress too much about it... There are people posting emails, poems as advice that aren't original, so if your advice is original - then you are on fire.  Remember that once you post it, you can go back and edit or add links any time you like.  Write with your own style about things you have either experienced, or have good knowledge about.   I will add a couple of advice links for you to check out about writing advice on the site.

Ok,personal experiences in an advice article are great, it shows that others aren't the only ones going through it all.  At the same time, it is good to have back up evidence, especially when dealing with medical issues, so that people can see that there is a link between your experience and what is known within the medical community.  By the way, this also includes psychological, socialogical issues too.

My article The Risks of Fenugreek, gives my personal experience with the herb and also links to extra info, which confirmed in my mind that the problems I was having was indeed caused by the herb.  Probably not the best example for you, but only one I can find at short notice this early in the morning (almost 4am!!!!).
