Stephen King- On writing

by August88Comment Published at 20:3320:334 comments4 comments21 Visits21 VisitsReport

A Memoir. If you ever wondered how that great mind ticked. Plus it teaches heaps on how to write. Great for a site like this if you ever want to know how to make your work more readable! And there is quite a lot about his life growing up. I couldn't put it down as it was so easy to read ( see what I mean) I actually haven't read any of his books. I am a big woos when it comes to horror! Even his movies, I can't sit through a whole horror film. Anyway, I highly recommend!

Yay!  My copy came in the other day, and I have started to read it, but is going to be slow going for a while.  Have many more things to catch up on at the moment.

Went hunting for the book.  No luck.  Grabbed another of his books that I haven't read yet, and when I got home what happened?  I opened the page that has about the author on it and there it was!

The full title is On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft

Next time I am out, I will be getting the bookstore to order it in for me!

I was lucky. Stumbled across it in the library. I know you then don't get to keep the copy but I love visiting the library anyhow! Thanks, will look at Misery, Lynette xx

I will have to get that!  I love his work!  If you aren't into all the horror etc but want to experience some of his work, get Misery!  It is a thriller, slower paced and not as gory.  Still scary, but not like his others.  I loved this book!  It was a great movie too staring James Caane and Kathy Bates!
