Do you wear your baby?

Do you use a baby carrier? Which one or what kind?
Hubby and I both have pouches. I just bought an Ergo which is better as its less strain on one side. - the shoulder.

Moby Wrap
I have a 4.5 x 0.5 m piece of jersey material that I use to carry my kids. There are lots of traditional ways of tieing it from all over the world, so I spend a bit of time researching new ways on the net and practising. It's awesome because they cost about $10 each and they are versatile across all ages of baby and situation.

Love the ERGO!

Oh yes. I bought Baby Bjorn before my son was even born and unfortunately it didn't get much use because my son got too heavy for it. By the time my son reached 15 lbs, the thing was hard to snap and I could only carry him for about 10-15 minutes before my back started hurting.

And then by 8 months when my son got supper clingy and I could barely manage to prepare dinner, I was introduced to the Ergo. Love it! I can carry him around the house to do the laundry, cook dinner, etc... and half the time he fell asleep in it. My son is over 30 lbs and now I and I can still use it without any problem. Though he doesn' t like being in it as much anymore though.

Do you have a pic? I am wondering if I am using mine properly. It may be cos I am tall but the waist seems high. I think I may be carrying him too high. I have seen others carry them lower. Is lower better?

I have a picture of it here on my advice http://www.minti.com/parenting-advice/339/Baby-Wearing/.

I bought it form this website http://www.myfavoritebabycarrier.com/ergo.html. It has pictures there and videos of how to use it. You may find it a better comparison on how you're using yours.

I wear mine with the hips a couple of inches below my waist (right above my hip bone). If I have it any higher, I feel the weight in my stomach and it's harder to breathe. I am 5'5" (165 cm). My husband is also able to wear it, though not as comfortably (his shoulders are too wide) and he is 180.5 cm.

Do you ache anywhere when you use it? Hips, backs, shoulders?

Thanks Izzy
Getting better with it I think!

I usually back carry because I find it easier. But hubby has been on holidays so he does the back clip and I can carry front ways. This pic was taken today and he fell asleep on me. Makes me cry. He hardly sleeps with me.
Now to learn to breastfeed in it!
