I never make it to a book club. I thought it would be interesting to choose a book for the month. Every week I can post a question for the book or the person who chose the book for that month can choose the questions for the week.
It would be pretty easy to get discussions going for the books. I love to be able to discuss the books that I read.
The books could be contemporary fiction or old classics.
We could submit a list and then choose together.

Well. Christmas came and went. The girls spent most of the winter getting sick! Work was too much. However, school is out! I am off for the summer.
Anyone want to try this again? |

Sorry guys, been trying to get on here all thepast week to post this so you would have a week head start. But been sick here, it has been bad, and only essential work was done online. However I am here now.
As I warned previously it is a chick lit called "Ralphs Party". By Lisa Jewell.
It should be available from www.penguin.com and i am sure there are other places online and locally it will be accessible. It was published 1999, so I hope it is still available, I was lent it by a friend and all my other books are packed up still.
So far we have not had a discussion on any of the books and with my daughters birthday next week I am not sure how much I will be online over the next week as there are many number fours still to be decorated - indeed made.
So as not to disappoint I shall post a question later on today
Peace

Hi, I was wondering, if I am not able to get the book you all are reading could I possibly bring up a book that I do have? I live in Lebanon and to find a book that may be what you guys are reading just might not be possible. I hope that isn't too confusing. Anyhow, any thoughts or ideas on how I could go about doing this with you? I appreciate it and will be hitting several bookstores to find the one you are currently reading. Thanks for your time. |

Hi Everyone. I am very glad to see there is a book club. I love to read books. I am currently reading a Thursday Next book. It seems interesting enough. I mostly read scary books, they are my all time favorite type to read with one of my favorite authors being Robin Cook (he is a real doctor that rights about medical type mysteries). What kinds of books do you like to read? Again, thanks for having this group, I think it will be fun to read a book continents apart and share our thoughts regarding them. Take care everyone and have a wonderful day. |

My book arrived yesterday. I should be finished the book I am reading by the weekend, at the absolute latest. Looking forward to getting stuck into it. It looks, and sounds good, from the quick flip through that I had yesterday when it arrived.
Has anyone else started reading? Any ideas on a book for next month so that I, and others, can get organised? |

I had a look through the conversations and came across that the book for February is Like the flowing river - thoughts & reflections by Paulo Coehlo. I have ordered the book so should be able to start reading as soon as it turns up. Hopefully it will be by the end of the week as I have just about finished the book that i am reading at the moment. |
