| This is a group for those of us in our first trimester of pregnancy. But please feel free to add your input if you're not pregnant, plan to be, or are already past this stage. This is a place for us to share our experiences and give each other support. The first trimester can be difficult. We need to know we are not alone. And we'd love ideas on dealing with those uncomfortable symptoms.

Hi all, I am coming out of the first trimester, but am still experiencing morning sickness. I really think I am only 11/12 weeks, but my doctor seems to think I am more like 13 to 13.5 weeks, with his measurements (personally I think he measured too quickly and estimated the date in haste, but what do I know! Am going to also check and see if there is a 2nd trimester group too. |

I thought it would be fun to have a bit of a poll so we can compare our experiences. Just answer the questions below.
- How far along are you?
- Have you had an ultrasound yet? If not, will you have an early one?
- How is the morning sickness?
- How is your energy level?
- Do you have any cravings?
- Do you have any food aversions?
- What have you done to prepare for baby?
So, have fun. I'll post my own answers soon. |

Hello everyone I am doing much better with the morning sickness. As Jessica says in her entry it should be called all day sickness. I still have it, but not as much as it was. I have learned to eat little meals all day long, so that is what seems to be working for me for now. It is really hard some days to deal with it because I do have Austin who is just over 2 and he needs so much still from me. I know he will be a great help when the baby gets her because he helps me do the cleaning, it is so cute. I have joined this newsletter thing called pregnancy weekly and it is really neat. It goes week by week and it tells you what the baby is doing in your belly. So I found out what my due date and it is Sept 11. Not a good for some, but if I have the baby on that day it will become a good day for me. Well glad to be in this group, looking forward to reading and sharing. |

My name is Jessica. I am 29 years old. I live in Los Angeles.
I am pregnant with my first child. I am in the first trimester. (almost 11 weeks)
I live with my fiance & his 3 kids.
I am sick with morning sickness!
But it's really all day & night sickness, so I don't know why they call it "MORNING" Ha-Ha!
It just feels like I have the worst hang-over of my life. LOL....
I have not gained any weight yet, nor am I showing.
I don't really have a taste for food right now....
My due date is AUGUST 24, 2007...
I am really excited, nervous, happy, scared, overwhelmed, & thankful....
There are so many emotions going on all at once,
it's hard to know what I am feeling from one moment to the next.
I am looking forward to sharing my experiences &
learning from other women who are going thru the same thing! |

I am currently pregnant with twins and have actually just finished the 1st trimester and trekking into the 2nd. What fun! I have gained about 3 lbs, which is great. But I'm already overweight even before getting pregnant so... there you go.
Anyway, I think the 1st trimester is the easiest (that is if you're not too busy with morning sickness). Though I think it's also hard because if you really don't feel well, some people may just look at you and not understand what you're going through since your belly isn't showing yet.
Good luck to you all! |

Hello everyone,
My name is Krista. My husband, Chris, and I are expecting our second baby.
When I was expecting Arianna I was part of a message board geared to each trimester of pregnancy. I found it so helpful to chat with other women who were experiencing a lot of the same things I was or hear from those who had already been there. It was also fun to move from board to board as my pregnancy progressed. I guess I'm sort of missing that here, so I've started this little group.
I am not too far along, probably just over a month. I haven't been to the doctor yet. Arianna has an appointment on Tuesday so I'll talk to him then. I haven't been experiencing too many symptoms lately. I had some nausea and I was hungry all the time about a week ago. Now, I only feel that every once in a while. I'm just quite tired. I need to take a nap when I put Arianna down for her's. I'm so glad to be home, not teaching, so that I can do that. One thing I have been feeling more than I did the first time around. My breasts are so sore! Maybe I just feel it more because Arianna likes pushing and kicking against them. I also find that my nipples are sore. I had a horrible time nursing Arianna so I'm trying to "toughen" them up, so far, it's NOT working.
How about you? Introduce yourself and let us know how you're feeling!
Krista
