User site suggestions

I often see alot of people post in the Q & A section (either annomously or not) of wanting not to be a member anymore. I think it would be a good idea if you could put a "Delete Request" Option tab somewhere on the homepage where a user can click into it which then takes them to an email window where they can email to Admin that they want to be deleted. I think it just takes too long or is a bit of a hassle asking for people to report you to get deleted and it probably saves time as the email can go directly to admin.

I thought a good idea you might want to do is put an Announcement/Bulletin feature on the homepage near the Q & A feature for members to make there random annoucemnets etc... like the Bulletin Board group we have or maybe put that Bulletin Board group link on the homepage for people to go to easily to see whats happening. Its just that i have noticed a lot of people would often do post stuff in the Q & A section and its not related to the Q & A section, especially new members doing that as they dont know where to go as yet and might not no of the Bulletin Board group we have.

I know you can post questions Annonymously in Q & A but is it possible to make it that the person who posts the original question can reply to people Annonymously as well because if you want to reply to something someone said in your Q & A you posted then your Annonymity is then revealed and they know who you are. Otherwise you have to post another Q & A which kind of looks weird and takes up "space" which isnt really a question. Hope you get what i mean...

 

it would be great to see who was online at the time at the bottom of the main page.

a wider variety of little emotes to use, please?

I want one that looks totally nutty and strangely crazy looking. One that is asleep or sleepy would be good too. And one that is totally sarcastic.

I'm sure others could suggest some they would use a lot as well if they had them available.

I thought maybe you can add a "what are you doing" status bar on our homepage, kinda like on Facebook where you tell people what your status is eg, "(your name) is having a good day" or "(your name) is going on holidays for 2 weeks" etc...

I think it would be good especially for people that dont blog as often anymore or dont have the time but would like to let there friends know how they are so they dont worry about you and know you are ok

I thought it would be good to be able to organise your photos into folders and name the folders, eg, kids fotos, family fotos, bday party photos... in a way it would be easier to look at them, similar to how facebook and myspace have there photo allbums and you can name the folders you place it in, and have it all organised. Also able to choose if you want your albumed folders as private for only family/friends on your list to see or public for everyone to see.

It would be really cool if there was a list of blog titles on the left hand side under the blog calendar so that you could click on them and go straight to previous blogs instead of scrolling through all the pages looking for specific ones of interest.

hi i would like to see 2 features. i would love to see the chat feature come to minti. i think it would be great and you would be able to get to know the members better and easyer. some ppl dont use msn or yahoo.

also i would like an option to keep your blog entries private in case for instance in my case i have a very bad day with my bipolar and i need to blog about it i can write about it and not have to worry about ppl worrying about me when i need to get things out of my head.

Seriously though, ideas for new gifts and compliments...

Compliments:

One for being funny and giving someone a laugh and cheering them up. Maybe call it 'sunshine smiles'?

One for being simply sweet and nice to someone (as opposed to caring and nurturing like Mother Teresa), maybe called something like 'Sugar sweet'

One for being bright and clever, or even famous (as opposed to wise and knowledgeable like wise owl) called maybe 'shining star"

A "Mother Teresa" and "Mary Poppins" type of compliment for the guys (seems kinda odd to send those to a guy. It's bad enough that I'm a super dad and a sugar daddy. lol

Gifts:

Birthday gifts. Lots of members have birthdays, some even have one every year! Ideas: A birthday cake, a bunch of flowers (different to the roses in the gifts of love section), a pinata, birthday candles, a photo album, a birthday card.

Congradulations gifts. Members often achieve something remarkable in life or on the site, gifts could be a good way to recognise that. Ideas: a ribbon, a trophy statue, a medal, a certificate of greatness, a bottle of champaign, a trophy cup.

Sympathy gifts. Sometimes bad things happen to good people after all. Ideas: flowers (different ones again), sympathy card, chocolates, candles, magic tissue box.

Helping Hand gifts. Name anyone that wouldn't want one of these ideas: a tradesperson, a cooked dinner, a babysitter, a housecleaner, a garden gnome.

Travelling gifts: we'd all like to be able to take off somewhere at sometime surely? Ideas: a car, motorcycle, private jet, cruise boat, motorhome.
