Voting On Reports

by llmunchkinComment Published at 05:1305:132 comments2 comments40 Visits40 VisitsReport

I believe that the administration voting rights are a privilege and should be used with respect to the site, Minti's Editorial Guidelines, Code of Honour and Terms of Service.

Unfortunately it seems that some people don't hold this in such high esteem.  They either use their rights to vote in a vindictive manner, or don't understand what actually constitutes a breach.

I feel that if we were made accountable for our choice of vote, that it would encourage people to take it more seriously.   I think that people should be required to provide a short explanation before their vote became valid, which would prove due consideration was involved in their decision.

If people are made to be accountable, they might vote with more integrity, or better yet, withold their vote if they can't give a reasonable explanation for it.

Re: Voting On Reports

This has been discussed and won't be improved upon as people do generally vote properly except for those 1 or 2 people.

I agree that voting rights are a privilege, but I don't agree with the suggestion of having to submit an explanation for my vote.If I wish to clarify a vote, I will and do submit a comment, otherwise I leave it as a vote only.
