As a young person i know exactly what these little things do (Iam now 24). I had fallen subject to them when i was 15 and stopped when i was 17 they are not the best things in the world to get into. whilst saying that it doesnt mean that your child will grow into a crack or heroin habit. The little spekly things are used for you to get in another level of going out or staying in. I dont know if you want the ins and outs but the feelings on these things never go away. So here goes, do you remember when you first fall in love and you get uncontrolable butterflies in your stomach if you times that by approx a 100 you get to the coming up stage this is the beginning of the whole "buzz", you then feel an urge to dance and sway and tell peple you have never seen in your life before that you love them all the while you are on cloud 9 and there is no way of getting off until the come down (if your your teen comes home whilst on these and has extremley dilated eyes and is chewing the inside of their mouth or chewing gum they are all clues of being on pills). When the buzz has finished and you are starting to go back to normality you get extremley aggitated, paranoid thinking that the whole world is against you, even someone talking to you in general can make you feel on edge, i personaly got to the point that i couldnt go out of the house and had it on my mind that i even didnt have a job from booking a weekend off, so like a raving loon went into work pleading for them to keep me on only for them to say that my job always has and will be safe..... I may add that this feeling lasted the whole of that weekend as well. the main things are that these so called harmless things do mess your head as all drugs do no matter what anyone says, i have been the user and on the receiving end so know what i am talking about. Whilst on these they will severly mess your mind and to matter what precautions you take this will never fully replenish it self. I to this day blame drugs and my wayward way on having using them for 2years i will never be free from my depresion even with medication i have to accept what is but if you can nip it in the bud before this stage you should be ok. Dont confront your child as this will make them adament that they will carry on doing it but explain that yes we may ne older than them but we did a lot more things and made the original excuses up they that still use to this day. Educate them on the fact that any ambition they may have will soon be taken away because of a couple of quid and 6 hours worth of fun... Plus if they are advs them to take plenty of vitamin c and never dehydrate as this ould end in another sad story like the leah betts one. I really am sorry for being so blunt and going on but i wanted you to know the attraction it may help you understand more and know what draws them to it. Well to start with My son is not on these pills but I do know some kids who have taken them. Yes I have heard the names of these pills. What you need to do is sit down and talk to your daughter appeal to her to talk to you about it find out if she is. You then need to talk to her of the dangers of these street drugs. I have talked to Aidan about these pills as at one of the parties he had we ended up with 2 of his female friends taking these tablets and 2 of them at the hospital and us speaking to their mums.. Not to scare you but this is really extremely dangerous. There is no treatment for an over dose of these pills they are not aware of what is in them the hospital told these kids and their mums that if they took drugs they have a better chance if they overdose if they were taking heroin as they could be saved these drugs have different ingredients in them each time they are an artifical drug that is made up of different drugs also including rat poison ground glass etc....... Drugs in any one are extremely dangerous even marajuana can cause drug induced psycosis. So they are not only dangerous to them pysically but also mentally. These drugs you are talking about are forms of extacy from what I understand so try googlin that and see what happens. I jsut know that this must be very scary for you and you need to talk to you daughter desperately. Tell her anyone can get a bad reaction from these tablets they can kill and do every day. Even if she has not had a reaction to 50 of them every time she takes one she runs the chance of this because they are all different. The same drug from a different batch could contain different ingredients. We had a stage there when I sat down with Aidan and some of his friends and talked to them about taking these and the dangers etc.. Try contacting mental health and asking them where you would get information on these drugs they will know what they are and where to go hopefully but please keep trying. The effect I saw on one of the kids here was terrifying. She took the drug with none of us being aware of it she then danced and danced for ages she then started to strip off in the back yard and then became very paranoid about everything and started to cry and tell me she was sorry when I spoke to her she then told me that her and her friend had done them...... The reason this kids do these drugs i think is that they are so cheap to get cheaper than alcohol any way they cost around 20 dollars a tablet and the effects last all night for them. I hope you can understand what I have written and if you need any info and you can't get it any where let me know and I will see what I can do here for you BUT please I can not stress it enough talk to your daughter and get her off these things.
