Jake is 7 months old now and keeping me on my toes, crawling, eating and talking all day long!!
He is the proud owner of two bottem teeth and love the eat toast (cut into thin strips) rice, pastas and biccies...
loves his nanna and pear too.

My boys are 5 1/2 months...they will be 6 months on the 9th. I am really enjoying how much they like to eat now that I have introducded solids. I decided to make my own baby food. I really like being able to offer a much bigger variety of fruits and veggies than what is offered in jars. I am doing the 4 day rule...a new food eaten for 4 days to make sure there is no reaction.
So far they have tried and enjoyed a number of things.
Peas,apples,pears,yams,zucchini, bananas, butternut squash and carrots(on day 3). Still in the freezer I have green beans and avocados to try.
I also just bought the teething biscuits which we will try after the 4th day of carrots. I am hoping they love these because I would like to be able to put them in their highchairs say when I am in the kitchen cooking dinner, baking, doing dishes or whatever and have them occupied.
We have tried the mesh feeders. It went ok. I put apples in them. The boys seemed to have gotten frustrated because no food was coming out, only juice. I put the apple in there raw. Next time I will try to steam them first to soften them up.
I am so excited about their diet increasing and them being able to try more and more things. We did try sippy cups for the first time the other day too. I give them the cups after they are done with solids while I get things cleaned up and bottles made. I figure if for the next few months if they are only getting them for a few minutes at a time a few times a day it will at least start putting the idea into their heads and maybe getting off the bottles at a year will go smoothly. Today Jake was asleep in my arms and every time sam reached for the chocy bikies he would wake up and reach for them lol then drift of the sleep when i strocked his face.

Hi, l just found this group and thought to join .... for those who dont know me l am a mum to 5 boys - yes 5 : aged 15,13, 10, 5 and 4 months.
Dean is 4 months old today and beginning to roll, apart from the arm that keeps getting in his way and he gets very upset about that but he keeps on trying really hard. Today he thought it would be funny to pull his arms out of his top - dont know how he did it but l found him in his rocker eatting the sleeves and laughing at me. We are at the chewing everything stage as his teeth have been going up and down in his gums - they need to brake through.

OK, so Austin turns 1 in 2 1/2 months and it is time for me to start thinking about what i will do for his birthday... Here is my dilema...
My house is too small to have it here.
It will be the middle of winter so i cant have it at a park.
I refuse to have his first birthday at maccas.
I dont really know enough kids to have it at kidzoo (kids playground thing)
Does anyone have ANY (and i mean anything at all) suggestions on what i can do for him. I think there will be about 30 adults and maybe 6 kids  |

Hi everyone. I just joined this group today and just wanted to say hi to you all.
Michael was born on 9 March and was 3.76kg and 53cm in length, born by emergency C section. He is now 8.29kg and when he was measured yesterday he was 76cm. He's a gorgeous little bundle of bubby and we love him to bits

Hi everyone. First time user!!! I have a 7 month old baby and I am having nothing but dramas with her (she broke through 2 teeth down the bottom in one day) . She crawls around the house behind my constantly crying.... any one have any ideas on what to do. I have tried everything from panadol, teething gel, teething rings (cold and warm ones) any ideas would be helpful. I have two other children as well but they are all different when it comes to teeth. |
