Wow, in the last 2 weeks my baby has just turned 1.  I can't believe it, it seems as though a part of me is now missing.  but hey he is now growing up and learning new things which is a pleasure to watch.

He now randomly gives me cuddles, I just love that!

Not walking unassisted yet

by cheleinkalComment Published at 09:3209:320 comments0 comments13 Visits13 VisitsReport

My daughter, spoke early, she understand EVERYTHING, she's sociable and gets jokes, threw balls early used duplo stacks blocks feeds dolls pretend food, pulls funny faces....all this on time or early stuff BUT  didn't rawl until she was 1 and 2 weeks and in 11 days she is going to be 18 months old.  For MONTHS she has been cruising around furniture, using walkers, walls holding hands etc, but wont walk on her own.  She sometimes stands for quite some seconds, clapping hands or holding something in each hand before she realises nothing is holding her up and she promptly sits down.  Any suggestions????  Or am I begining to be concerned over nothing????  It hasn't bothered me until this week to be honest, but it seems like it's getting a bit beyond late now.

Thanks

Constant illness

by ruthjaneComment Published at 13:0613:063 comments3 comments45 Visits45 VisitsReport
My son, who's just turned 1, started at nursery in February. Since then he's been constantly ill - vomiting, diarrhoea, runny nose you name it and all at the same time. He's well for about three days and gets something else. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi, we have a 12 month old who has always slept quite well. He sleeps through the night for a good 11 hours but during the day will only have one quick sleep and another for 1 1/4 hours. Should I be dropping a sleep? Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks.

Eating Dirt!!

by SophNickComment Published at 15:4715:474 comments4 comments196 Visits196 VisitsReport

Hi this may seem like a very strange question but does anyone else children like to eat dirt?  I know it is normal for kids to explore and put everything in their mouths but with my 15 month old son it is like a compulsion that he just cant stop.  He also does it with chalk.  Does it mean he needs something in his diet?  I'd like to hear from anyone that has experienced this!
