Re: mums under 18
Sorry - I was 31 when I had my daughter but there are usually young Mums support groups available and I have no doubt you will be a great Mum. Asking for help is one of the hardest things for a Mum of any age to learn so if you learn early you're way ahead of most of us. My parents give me huge amounts of support with my baby (I'm a single Mum) and I gladly and without guilt take it. I hope you will find others, if you can't I have a friend who is in her 30's now and has two kids (started around 18). She did it tough but really well and I would be happy to ask her for any advice you may need. Being a Mum is not easy but is the most worthwhile thing I've ever done and the joy usually outweighs the tears. Let me know if I can help.

I did not have my first child until age 31, but both my Mom (16) and Sis (18) had their first early.  I obviously wasn't around for my Mom, but I was 14 when my sis had her first.

She had a lot of help from us and her future in-laws.  She managed to hold a 30-hour a week job and go to college and become a Registered Nurse.  You need to be willing to ask people for help and let people help you so you can be a better person and provide for your children.

If you have a question, feel free to ask, even though most of us are older we may be able to answer any questions you may have!  Use this forum and the rest of the site to your advantage!
