2 to 3 Yrs

My daughter turned two in August and she is so adorable. She learns so much from her older brother. I think that she really misses him when he's in school during the day.

My little girl will be 2 on 11/17 and I am amazed every day how big she is getting.  I love to brag at what she can do.

She knows her colors, recognizes most of her letters, can count to 10, knows her shapes (tupperware shape ball is wonderful!!), and talks non-stop.  She is in Waterbabies classes and is starting to dip her mouth and nose in the water.  Last night at Tiny Tumblers the instructors got out a bar and she swung on it and they helped her flip over it and hang upside down...so cute!  Oh, I could go on and on!!  So smart and strong for such a little one!

It was so cute, this morning, I sneezed and she said "bless you".  I love it when they say things with meaning!!  She also says excuse me after she burps...another thing she picked up from us.  My husband and I say excuse me even if people don't here us.  I find myself saying it when I am by myself!

We are also working on potty training.  Some days are great and others aren't, still so young so I don't worry about it!

Would love to hear more stories of where your children are in learning and developing.

Hi all. My son is 2 1/2 years old now and he is amazing us with how much he is learning everyday. He is in preschool which has been wonderful for him. I don't think he would be learning as much being couped up with me.

His words are not too clear sometimes, but strangers are able to understand him. He is speaking in long sentences, but sometimes resorts saying "yah uh"  when he doesn't know quite what word to use.

How are your toddlers doing?

my gorge lil girl was 2 on the 20th ov sept i can not belive how fast it has gone. she is growin up so quickly. i sometimes wish cud go bk 2 wen i wa pregnant so that cud do it all ova agen. i miss her bein tiny

 

I can't believe my baby will be 3 in 7 weeks time......where has the time gone? He's growing up so quickly and he's not a baby anymore, he acts so grown up......

At the moment my little man is the cutest little angel...until....he sees any baby being held by it's mother, or any baby holding onto something and he will swoooosh down and stop them from holding on. It seems he doesn't want to share the attention or that the baby is getting the attention from the mother...it has me really confused. As I can't figure out any behavior from home that has caused this. Maybe from daycare which all the older kids had moved on, which now I have stopped and he is about to start preschool in the US Fall here.

And also lately a lot of wingeing which maybe due to summer boredom and attention I am not sure, I am trying to make his days full and exciting... so am thinking maybe a phase I don't know :0)

Would love any insights into this :0)

I have a lively two year old boy who has two older sisters of 5and 8.  I have had many "warnings" and comments of, "..that's boys for you...", and " you'll see " - from parents who have boys and feel that you have been somewhat spoilt if you have girls first.  I wonder if anybody else has experienced this? Although my two year old is going through a hitting phase with his sisters, and mum and dad on occasion! - he is a very well-behaved boy who as yet is not thrashing around and screaming at every available moment.

Maybe I have it all to come or we label our boys too quickly-and accept their boisterous behaviour as "..just being a boy" much more readily than we accepy our girls doing the same thing??  Just a thought-what do you think?

Its swollen and red, but his pee is normal. Poor little thing couldnt walk properly for an hour.

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Erin, 24, SAHM to Tarok(4) and Ethan(2). We live in Winnipeg, Canada. Tarok is terminally ill with Leigh's disease. Ethan is a healthy boy, although not unaffected by his brother's condition. Ethan's avery physical 2 year old of few words....he'll say anything Dora tells him to, but he still doesn't say Mommy! He's all about trouble these days and has decided to quit being a good little shopper at the very worst time of year!
