Bloating

by seabreezeComment Published at 03:1303:134 comments4 comments1650 Visits1650 VisitsReport
Does anyone suffer from a bloated stomach? I know they say food alergies etc. cause it, I have tried eliminating all kinds of food etc. and still don't know whats causing it, some days I look like i am 6 mths pregnant, and other days (not very often) my stomach seems quite normal not bloated at all, and then other days I find it feels flat, and i feel so good. but it can be so annoying, the bloating because its so difficult to know how to dress, i tend to have to wear loose clothes, otherwise it would be so obvious that my stomach is bloated. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Bloating
Have you spoken to your doctor about getting a referral to gastroenterologist. They might be the best people to speak to as it sounds like a digestion issue. I would be making any conclusion before seeing a doctor about it. If you dont get the answer you want find a doctor who will.

candida

one of the major causes i see day to day at work for bloating is candida, or an inbalance of gut flora. it is a classic symptom and is easily treated with acidophillus and a no sugar diet for around a month maybe longer dependant on how bad.

if your gut flora is out of balance digestion will slow down, gas will build up, food ferments and every sugar or yeast you eat just feeds the condition.

irritable bowel can also cause bloating and again acidophillus is my first point of call. there are a lot of useful sites on candida, good idea to look at as they give eating plans etc, and dont think of it as common thrush, think of it as a gut inbalance.

Re: Bloating
My daughter suffers from Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)? This can cause bloating of the stomach & at times she can look about 6mths pregnant also... She hates it as so many people comment. One sales lady actually told her that she should go & buy herself a girdle - she was most upset & I don't blame her.
You've not mentioned if you have other symptoms so I've enclosed a list some of the common causes for abdominal bloating...
I sometimes suffer with an irritable bowel & can affirm that when it's playing up my stomach bloats a bit, but not so it looks as if I'm pregnant.
