The fact that we can communicate to each other. and we trust in what the other does.   Oh and the fact that he does some of the house work!

Hi...as everyone else says - communication! Also doing your own thing occasionally & trusting each other all the time....of course we have our problems sometimes but we are best friends & love each other dearly.

I think having Time out from each other works,  as i love having my social outings with the girls and Vice versa...

Also sharing the responibility of our children, as  we both brought them into the world, so we both got to show them unconditional love and respect is the other area..

The acceptance of each of us having seperate interests that are solely for each. We do things together, but also have things that we do that we enjoy. Hubby has fishing and ebay, I have dinner and outings with the girls from school.

always giving, and receiving well if it is genuinely two way nothing can go amiss. worked for my parents, still together after 29 years (or there bouts) and for kiall and i for the last 6 years.

FRIENDSHIP AND TRUST!

sex... it is a huge part in a relationship i believe. if its bad all the time you dont want to be there or be with that person. i also agree with honesty and sharing the house load as my hubby has found this year it aint easy to look after the kids and do the housework.

Believe it or not, i think the one thing that works for us, is the fact that my partner does housework. He helps out without me having to ask so i don't nag and it makes me feel like it really is a 50/50 relationship and he benefits by me being happier and not nagging.

Total honesty.

I find that with honesty comes trust.... And trust is a very important thing to have when you are spending the rest of your life with someone...
