Please Help

by dinsdaleComment Published at 23:4923:495 comments5 comments26 Visits26 VisitsReport

Ok, Sophie is turning 2 in 2 weeks, but we are having her party this Sunday as Matt is off to the UK. Anyway I want to make her a dora cake but have no idea where to hire or by a tin. I live in rockingham WA. Does anyone know of where I could find one. I'm getting pushed for time now too. Thanks Tracey

Re: Please Help

You could print out a picture of Dora and cut it out then make a retangle sponge and cut around it giving the dora shape for you to ice!

Re: Please Help

In line with BrightonBelle's advice, have you read Lightbee's advice? I followed it and got a lovely Lola cake, having printed out a pic from the internet, enlarged it, traced it onto greaseproof paper and cut round it. Dora should be equally easy.

Re: Please Help

Hi Tracey..

do you have a Woolworths or safeway store near you? As if you do you can get the bakery to do one for her , and its a mudcake.. Cost is around $ 7.. I have just ordered one for my chloe for this thursday..

A another idea if you want to make your own is too look at stores near u as sometimes u can get just the edible print and put it on the cake,,. or if you have spot light they sell the tins or ebay..

xx cazza

Thanks Cazza, will go and see woolworths they are just up the road and spot light. I have just phoned and ordered the tin, but not sure if I can decorate it myself otherwise it cost about $ 50 to have the whole thing done for me
