Kathryn and her family are holidaying about an hour from our home, so we couldn't let the opportunity pass. So this morning Mum, Daniel and I set off to meet Kathryn, Alan, Emma and Sophie.
We all decided it would be best to arrange to meet at the place where they were stopping for lunch today, along the route to their holiday. How exciting
Unfortunately it felt as though just about every other car owner in the vicinity chose the same route and we spent quite a portion of the morning texting each other on how far we were travelling in traffic. As we had by far the shortest journey we naturally were the first to arrive, so settled down with a pot of tea as we waited.
Kathryn texted me when she got to the village before where we were, so we knew when she was coming so very soon amidst the rain and just about every rambler in the village !!!!! Kathryn and her family walked into the pub. Easily recognisable I went right over to greet them and led them to the seating area I had left Mum.
We found two reasonably quiet tables, I say reasonably quiet as probably because of the rain all day long, everyone and his dog (literally) had gone to the same pub !!!! But we were soon chatting easily.
Emma and Sophie are just as cute as you would expect from their pictures, poor Kathryn was kept on her toes all through lunch trying to get Sophie to stay in one spot without running through the pub, in fact she kept us highly entertained, her grin in just as cheeky as you would expect, both girls have the most beautiful smiles.
Kathryn is absolutely lovely, we had a fantastic time and her family are just as lovely too
Hope you like the pictures

This is so long over due. I am sorry it has taken me so very long to get this posted. Overseas, moved house, blah blah blah. Anyway here it is. Although I did blog about it. As did Lorna.
While in AZ I made sure to hook up with Lorna and JB. It took a bit of orchestrating but we did finally meet and we had a really nice time and the boys really got along well.
Sorry the photo is so grainy...on my camera phone. Yes Lorna the photographer didn't take any photos of us...oh well here it is...

Well today I officially met Cassandra (cassaustin). When i say officially - it's because about 3 days before i had bub, we were actually talking to each other up at the shopping centre but we didn't realise who each other was!
Her son Austin is such a little cutie and he's such a funny little boy.
Emily really loved having him to play with....it was so hilarious to watch!
Cass is a wonderful person/ mum and i look forward to getting to know her better and building a friendship.... she's just a burst of energy! |

Today Julie and I got together with the kids at New Farm Park. It was a really good afternoon, and the kids seemed to enjoy themselves. Even David my eldest, who is a little anti social with people he doesn't know, actually had a go on the climbing thingy. It was lovely to meet her and her friend Olga.

And about time too! LOL Have seen her twice now and plan to again before too long while I'm in the same city and have the chance. Here's a pic of us (thanks Mony) - how on earth she tolerated having my large preggy butt on her skinny boney lap is beyond me!
I've also met Lui (llmunchkin) briefly on New Yrs eve, and plan to catch up again soon.
Will tell more later when I have more time.
Cheers, DA.

Well we finally got there........for days I meant to ring to organise a time to go out to Janice and Steve's property but being home and relaxing, the time just flew and the next thing I know we've been here for a week and a half. Plus I had no idea about Janice being bitten by a white tailed spider until i was told over the phone by Fi, as I haven't been on the computer very much.......so today I rang Janice and organised to go and meet up.

The photo's of the property don't do it enough justice, yes I know Janice.....it's not as green at the moment but it still so beautiful and peaceful and relaxing. now I know how we all just adore Janice and Steve but they are even more amazing in the flesh. So kind, welcoming (I was even getting my own drinks 10 mins into arriving ) My boys just loved it there and were shy at all....were they Janice? Steve took us for a wander around the property....it's just amazing. He also took the boys for a ride on his tractor which the boys absolutely loved, Luke has a thing for everything having a name and so he asked Steve what the name of his tractor was.....Steve very quickly and cleverly named it "Thomas" which Luke thought was fantastic......he said "yeah Thomas" and jumped up and down with excitement.

We had such a great time and plan to get together next week sometime for Tea which I'm so excited about.

Thank you so much Janice and Steve for making us feel so welcome......the boys had a great time. |

On Sunday, MaxiMe, MicroMe and Me made the journey down to see RylansMum.
(Unfortunately the frick editor isn't working, so no photos at the moment...)
The grand occasion was to celebrate Rylan's first birthday (which was on Monday), and to catch up, as we have only seen each other a couple of times this year. Donna and I worked in the same team for Coca Cola Amatil when I was pregnant (Regional Sales NSW). She was fantastic at her job, and really helpful, and a very tiny slim little thing... I could never imagine her being pregnant! I used to sneak off and get chocolate fudge up the road all the time - she used to encourage me and say that if she was ever pregnant, she would eat as much chocolate as she wanted! LOL
That's the birthday boy with the balloons!
By the time I returned to work in the newly formed licenced team for NSW, Donna was the mum of a brand new baby boy called Rylan! By all accounts she did eat that chocolate - however she is as slim and gorgeous as ever. What a great mum she is too, and Rylan is a very strong, happy, healthy little man. Well actually, he isn't so little - he weighs 2kg less than Jaydee, though he doesn't look that heavy. The party was awesome, Donna & Mattie went to a lot of trouble and the food was fantastic, and their friend's and family are fun too. The kids had a great play area, I was wishing I was a toddler too. The day was boiling hot though, so we are looking a bit wilted and not so cool calm and ladylike as we really were LOL .

Donna will shoot me for posting this photo as we are shiny... But it was boiling hot and we were melting.

Last Saturday, Jaydee and I had the great pleasure of meeting with KyAquarius (Kylie), Isabella, hermy (Sandra), Sandra's Hubby (PAUL), Ryan and Ashlei. It was raining, and although we all got a bit wet, it didn't dampen our spirits, or the kids. They had a great time running around at the park, before we sat down to coffee and snacks at the adjoining cafe - which was quite child friendly.
It was kind of surreal, I had been pretty busy all week, and nearly didn't go... So lucky I did! Kylie looks like a model, and is a model example of fitness and fun - her training has really paid off. I wish I lived closer to her, I'd pick her to be my personal instructor! Isabella is a very bright, confident, independent young lady, Jaydee had a ball chasing her (and annoying her I think), most of the time that we were there.
Sandra is a bundle of smiles and energy, her hubby was a really lovely guy (of course), and very patient... Wow, wonder where he buys all that patience from, I need to shop there! Ryan was so sweet, I pretended that I couldn't find my car and he helped me find it in the rain so we could get a nappy for the pooping machine (aka Jaydee). He is a very sensitive, thoughtful, young man - I can see that this will go down a treat with the ladies in the future! Ashlei was just so sweet, she took a real shine to Kylie, and she was so content and happy the whole time, just adorable!
As for MicroMe... Well, he had a big night out for dinner the night before, and he was a tad ratty at times. He seemed rather hyper, he was over excited, and he threw a couple of doozy little tantrums. Luckily they come and go fairly quickly, and over all, he loved it. He was so excited to meet his new friends, and in the car he kept saying friends yeah, all the way there. He had a nap after we got home, and woke up still brimming with excitement, and telling MaxiMe all about his exciting time at the park with his new 'Mini Friends'.
Crank up the barbie Sandra, we are hungry mmmmm! Thanks Kylie for organising this, I almost thought we weren't going to manage it before Christmas - cheers to you both! |

First of all I saw Angela (HarrisonsMommy), Harrison himself, and Dean when I was in Melbourne in October. It was great, Angela was exactly how she portrays herself on the site - except her photos don't do justice to the lovely blond glowing picture of health that is herself, and that bonnie babe - Harrison. Dean likes to take all the credit for Harrison's good looks though - and with good reason, they really are a gorgeous, fun, bright family. I felt so guilty that Jayden wasn't with us, however we will remedy that in the future! It was a blast, and I am so glad that we finally met, except I was so foggy from a wedding the night before, that I forgot to take any pictures - except this one of Harrison having his babycino. I have to say, Harrison was a very well mannered, patient, gorgeous little man too, it really was a pleasure to meet them all!

angelicarose , jenjen, jmrmumstheword, monarogirl and of course moi all met up today at Macca D's.
Gotta tell ya's....we have a GREAT bunch of Intelligent, fun, down to earth women on minti and I've met a few of them. Today I was fortunate to meet a couple more.
Of course I know monarogirl and have done for some time but I got to meet angelicarose , jenjen and jmrmumstheword, for the first time and I'm so pleased I decided to go. I very nearly didn't and only changed my mind pretty much at the last minute. I enjoyed myself and know it won't be the last time we meet up.
Ok, so we may have over run and taken over Mac Donalds slightly but it was a blast!
Thanks guys for the invite to join you today and thank you for being who you are - I totally enjoyed myself and think, no, I KNOW you are genuine bunch who I am proud to say I met -
Big thanks to minti for making that possible as well. If it wasn't for this site we wouldn't have had the oppertunity to even get to know each other....so THANK YOU MINTI!!
Anyways, here's some pics....that were taken thanks to a total stranger I employed to take for us and thanks to me remembering that I had a timer on my camera. I've reduced the size of the to be minti friendly with the space and upload time...
And hey, if you don't know or haven't gotten to know any of these women, make an effort to, as they are certainly worth the time. They are true to who they are in person and on minti.....
Ok, here's the pics and now I'm off to study a little more. I have exactly 1000 words left of my FINAL assignment and then thats this years uni over for me.....YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Talk to you all again soon
Cheers OB |

Well, not really met her. I already knew Stacey, we were once drinking buddies back at a time where the idea of sitting at home together sober and with half a dozen kids running around at our feet seemed absurd, but we lost contact with each other about 9 years ago. She saw my pic on Minti and recognised me and contacted me to confirm that I was indeed the same person. Of course I was! LOL. See, Minti isn't just for meeting new friends but also re-uniting old ones! Yippee!
So she's in town for the weekend and came round with her tribe for a few hours. It was great to see that she hasn't changed - well, she's a bit more sensible and sober now. LOL. I've always liked her because she's just so totally real and honest. What you see is what you get and you know that what she says is real.
The kids got along just fine and played happily and noisily together... well... until her littlest two got over-tired and started to grizzle and wanted to go home to bed, then they played noisily together. LOL. Hopefully we'll be able to catch up again next time she's in town.
Here she is with me in my loungeroom:
