Thank you for your request. Unfortunately we cannot give you permission to reproduce information from the Better Health Channel on your website. This would contravene the legal agreement we have with our content partners.
We are happy for you to provide a link to information on the Better Health Channel. However there are a few conditions:
· The link cannot be used to indicate endorsement, approval or sponsorship of your website, your organisation or its services.
· If there are fees involved in the use of any part of your website, it should be noted that the Better Health Channel is a free service provided by the Victorian Government.
· No charge of any sort can be attached to the availability of BHC information. For example if you have a subscription section on your site, the BHC link should not be placed inside this subscription area. If this is not possible it should be clearly stated that the BHC is a free service provided by the Victorian Government.
· The link to the BHC website cannot be used as any part of a revenue generating mechanism to promote your organisation or its services.

I contacted the Food Standard Agency in the UK about text that a member had copied in her article.
The Food Standards Agency has gotten back to me saying that the text on the website is Crown Copyright. (Meaning Government Copyright). It's fine if you quote up to 200 words without seeking permission as long as you quote where you got the text from.
They are happy for us to mention our advice, and to let people know that the advice for the site is for the UK and reflects products available in the UK, UK/EU regulations, etc. |

We have received permission from the American Society for Nutrition to publish their article: Efficacy of a green tea extract rich in catechin polyphenols and caffeine in increasing 24-h energy expenditure and fat oxidation in humans1,2,3.
However, we must credit the copyright owner of this article in this way:
Am. J. Clin. Nutr. (1999; Vol. 70, No. 6, pp. 1040-1045), American Society for Nutrition.
And if we intend to use the Green Tea study again, we have to let them know where we are using it. |
