i do various things online every day of the week. i like to keep my PC on for extended periods of time because family around the world can hook up to my IM and leave messages for me or chat if I am available. Often we find messages we leave for each other as we are all busy and we have all adopted this policy that if we are around stay logged in and we can at least say hi to each other, it is better than writing an email that only ever says hi.
Based on this policy I tend to do the same with Minti I will be logged in all day, but will do other things around it. and it only takes 10 mins to check a piece of advice and vote on it, sometimes less if it is only a paragraph. I then consider if I have a reply worth offering. Sometimes I will do a few at a time if E is occupied and I have the concentration, else I come back and do another later on. It works for me.
Although I am on all day I spend about 3 or 4 hours on in total not including time spent just chatting. Wow, that sounds heaps. But let me break it down: i know email takes me about a half hour, RLC takes me about 45 mins other sites take me up to a half hour and then there are also surveys that I do online for small change. yes. that must be about right. When I have guests it cuts down to the one necessary hour to do RLC and sort email into folders ready for reading when I am next free.
