hi there

i have one for you all,  as you know charlie has been in hospital while we were in there i had a few nurses tell me that it was all my fault that he was there in the first place, they then went on to tell me that i wasn't feeding him or giving him fluids, and that i wasn't taking very good care of him,  i told my dad and he went off the deep end, and then asked the head nurse how would they know what happens at home in private, and how dare they tell a worried mother that they aren't looking after their own child,  well lets just say that by last night i think that the nurses would have been happy to see the backside of my dad,  but as i told the head nurse that he is very protected of me and charlie and that he was only defending us,  so sorry for the vent but i am wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them and how did they deal with it???

Re: hi there

Oh my God, that's just dispicable......How dare they treat you that way.  I would put a complaint in writing, send a copy to the head nurse, the hospital Admin board and the Minister of health as well as your l;ocal Member of Parliament........That's disgucsting behavior and I'm glad your dad chewed them out...good on him.  No wonder PND and just depression is so prevelent in todays society when you get dickwads like that in our health industry.......how dare they...oohh, my bloods boiling.

My sil is a Nurse in perth and I'm going to ask her if there is supposed to be some kind of code of conduct when dealing with patients and their loved ones.

I can tell you this right now... If anyone was to say anything to me like that in your situation, my whole family would be knocking down the hospital doors...

Re: hi there
Good on your dad! ! !

The nurses had NO bloody right to treat you in that manner and you shouldn't apologise to the head nurse for what your said . . . she should be apologising for what her nurses said to you!

cheers Kellz
