That even though my two year old son is capable of using a fork or spoon, he still prefers to use his fingers unless his sister is here for the weekend.  I find it is the only time my son uses his utensils to eat.. It is rather frustrating when you go out as he is such a messy little eater when he uses his fingers... Still he is just a kid and I don't go off at him for it..   But I just wish he'd pick them up a little more often...
