Laundry

This may be a stupid question, but I need to learn to use liquid fabric softner.  I bought liquid fabric softner to remove wallpaper ( it works) and it was cheaper to buy the big bottle and now I have all this liquid softner.  I have never used it with out one of those ball thingys but I was wondering if anybody knew what part of the cycle I pour it in. I also just thought about something...Maybe I should read the bottle to see if it says it on there.  LOL  See you begin to depend on Minti so much that you just ask it first then read the instructions.  So anyways you can still tell me, because I probably will check here before I actually get around to reading the bottle LOL.  Thanks

Re: Laundry

softner is always put in during the rinse cycle.  Like Mad channy said if it's top loading there is actually little hole in the spindal.  Pour a cap full in for a full load, or what the directions say on the bottle, then add extra water into the holw unitl you can see the water.  For front loading machines there is normally a tray on off to the sifde of the nobs and such that lets you put in the bleach and softner and such.  Same as with the top loading pour in the softner and add some extra water.  If not, wait until the washer is on rinse and manually add it to the wash then, but only top loading ones..

is your washing machine a top, or front loader? i know on most top loaders, there is a cap in the centre piece of the tub (the big plastic bit that swishes the clothes)pull the cap off and pour softener in there at the start of the cycle, and it doesnt release the softener until the first spin:) by itself.

front loaders should have a compartment like that too but i never used one of them machines before :)

yeah there is a cap in it, but I have to give it a good clean it looks nasty in there.  I will run some bleach in there first and then do a load of whites or towels stuff that can take bleach just in case there is any left in there.  Thanks for the help.
