Every school needs money raised, and it often falls to those small few in number to take the reins and contribute. I would love to hear of ideas for different fundraising events.
If your school has an event coming up and you may like people to attend, let us know, and if we are in the area, we just might turn up! I am often interested in going to other events and know that we sometimes need people too!

As a parent of 2 boys and being a full time working mom, I’m aware that I am pressed for time in my kid’s school activities. Well, recently that all changed when a friend told me about this awesome website called SchoolParentNet.com - it has some really cool tools for us parents like:
· Online School Directory and
· Sign up sheets for School Activities, Field Trips and Fundraising.
You can get involved in your child's education by volunteering as a classroom parent. Get connected with other parents and teachers, meet your child's classmates and get a better understanding of your child’s educational development. View their success story link at the bottom of the page on their site. You can request an invitation from their site if you want to join. Security and Member schools links are also useful.
I have used it and I highly recommend it to anyone who has kids. This website has enabled all of us to be more active members of our children’s education system.

We just had 2 school socials for our children....So on Monday 30th July we held one for the higher primary, and it was plain clothes day as well...So we decorated the hall, had a few dances and competions, and a few prizes...... It was a Gold coin Donation per family....
On the tuesday 31st we had the lower primary and the same deal as the older ones.
We also provided every student with a bag of chips and a drink of cordial.... |

Hi all, our High School is holding a Melbourne Cup Day Luncheon on Tuesday 6th November at Everton Park (Northside). Cost $25 (book and pay before Sept 21 only $20). This includes a 2 course lunch, tea/coffee, lucky door prize and spot prizes throughout the afternoon, games, entertainment, fashion parades. There will be raffles and sweeps as well.
