Hello All,
Thank-you to everyone who gave me support & kind word for my recent loss.
I have come to terms with it now & as my husband says is going to be fun trying again lol.
So I will keep trying & hopefully there is a better outcome next time.
Charli is still a bit heart broken cause she was really looking forward to becoming a big sister but I told her that she will be a big sister just not this time.
I told Charli that the baby went to heaven & my stupid mother in-law told her that baby died so now she is telling everyone that the baby died & went to heaven.
I'm really upset with my mother in-law cause I was quiet content to just have her say that the baby has gone to heaven, but there's nothing I can do to change that now & I told my mother in-law to stop telling her that the baby died so she can get over it & deal with it in her own way.
But once again thank you to everyone you have all been great.

Hi Everyone,
Miss Nikki had an early suprise yesterday, the arrival of Zara Jennifer Foster was born at 12.45pm on 7-7-08 weighing 3.09kg. Nikki couldn't believe how quickly it all happened - the birth that is.. Zara just couldn't wait to arrive. Mum and bub are doing great and she is over the moon.

Just reminding all those pregnant women that aren't about to pop a bub - that i have maternity clothes for sale massive pack of size 10 pants and size 10-14 tops (4 pants about 8 tops) for $130 including postage.
also for those that are about to have a little girl, i have a massive pack of girls clothes (NB to 6 months) that i want to get rid of as well. In this pack is a brand new pair of shoes, brand new baby wraps and brand new all in ones and summer rompers to be used as singlets if you wish. plus i have some preloved clothes that i want to chuck in that are in new condition as emily only wore them twice before she outgrew them!!!
I want to sell the bubs clothes for about $130 (includes postage also) as most are new and there are alot of items.

There has been debate in the past about exactly what subjects relate to parenting advice that can be written about here on minti. When that question was raised I wrote an advice article on what I thought related to parenting, and it was well recieved by the minti community at the time. But, members come and go, society's attitude changes over time, and minti is no exception to the forever evolving and changing ebb and flow of community opinion. What was deemed as good advice a year ago might be seen as out-dated and useless now!
Last night the issue of exactly what is and isn't a parenting question was raised in the reported section. And it's a very good question!
Generally speaking, I look at it like this; if an advice article can be written about something on minti, then a question can be asked about it in Q&A. But that is just my opinion.
We wouldn't go writing an advice article on how to get a That's Life (TM) magazine puzzle completed, and a question about it shouldn't be posted in Q&A. That is generally accepted on minti. But what about asking for advice on how to get rid of a wart on our big toe? These sorts of questions are not about the kids or us as parents, but they're still generally accepted in Q&A.
Q&A states not much more than it is for parenting questions only, and that includes questions about the site itself, even though there are groups for site-related questions; and other questions should be posted in relevant groups.
As minti is by parents for parents, I'm going to raise the question to create clean and open discussion on the matter to see what the current community opinions on this are. So...
Where is the line drawn between what is and and what is not a parenting question? |

Hi all!
Just wanted to let everyone know that Rukia has come out of her operation fine. She was operated on at 8am this morning and txted me at about 10:30am to say she was awake again and everything had gone well. She didn't freak out as she came out of the anaesthetic as she previously thought she would, and is going home tomorrow.

Red Nose Day is on it's way again and the fundraising items are on sale around Australia raising money for SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), so save some pennies and get lots of red noses and toys and pens and pins and everything!

the toy sale starts next thursday but there is a snaek peak of the catalogue tommrow for kmart these are great laybys till christmas

hello i want suggestions on how you do shopping do you do it in one bulk lot a week or do you shop for a few things whe n you need it . kenny and i normally do a weeks shop on a sunday but we are thinking of trying only buying things when we need it . what do you all do and what has worked for you and what hasnt

Jane McGrath Dies Aged 42
Deepest sympathies to the McGrath family at this sad time. Another Breast Cancer advocate lost at such a young age. On a different note, this is proving that it isn't just the over 50's who are at increased risk. Breast Cancer is striking the younger ladies too, and we need to make the issue more aware in the younger ladies too.
Please, if you have a suspicious lump in your breasts or notice changes that you can't explain, see your doctor and ask for a Breast Screen referral to be on the safe side. (For Australians sorry).

Jo gave birth to baby Bailey - 8lb 8oz - at 9.58am (UK time) Thursday morning after 5 1/2 hours labour. They are both doing well and when I have more information I will let you know. They will probably be in hospital a few days and then there should be some pictures.
CONGRATULATIONS to Jo, Bobby & Mackenzie on the arrival of their little man - FINALLY!
Jo asked me to let everyone know as she probably won't get on for a while now. |

Hi all,
First of all thank you all very much for you kind thought.
I went to the doctors today & it wasn't all bad news so far, all the test that have been done are still pointing to me still being pregnant, the doctor said that at the moment the bleeding I am having is 1 or 3 things,
(1) I am having a normal menstrual cycle & still pregnant
(2) I am having early pregnancy bleeding which is not uncommon
(3) I am in the early stages of a miscarriage
The reason he thinks it is more than likely 1 or 2 is because my blood count is still going up quite a bit which leads him to think that the pregnancy will continue.
If when I go back on Tuesday next week & the blood test they did today show the my blood levels have come down then they will do another one & if that show that they have come down some more then I have miscarried.
But at this point in time he said that I must still think & act like I am pregnant, but not allowed to do anything just sit down as much as possible & no heavy lifting ect so having said that any volunteers to come do my housework LOL.
I will update you all again on Tuesday.
