Who are any of us to judge, this is a couple who wanted a baby but the "female" was unable to, so he/she carried the baby..... Because he made the decision to live as a man does not make them any less deserving of having children as anyone else..... There are children born in this world to drug addicted, violent etc families who are going to be more screwed up than this child who will most probably be loved and nurtured and grow up to be a wonderful adult...... Its no different to same sex couples adopting or using the same means to have children.....
they are going to have to explain about the dad being born a woman anyway, i dont see any difference to same sex couples having a baby seeing as tho he still has female organs......
lots of ppl who have gender reassignment surgery have babies b4 they do its absolutly no difference as far as i see it? its just a publicity stunt coz he looks male and most ppl never knew he was female....
well yeah he was born a woman but had a sex change to be a man as he "felt" more nale than female ther are a few cases in the world where they are born with both. not sure how it works but i cant remember where i heard this nut its meant to be documented.
i remembered at the time but its not smething that i store in my brain.
but you know some people what the best of both worlds because if you are so bent in becoming a man why "fall pregnant"? something about doing it for the partner because her/ his partner (female) wasnt able to have children
Yeah for men having babies....what a relief for us females... but seriously, I disagree with this, especially if he has had a total sex change & that can't be the case if he carried a baby!
I so feel for the child when it gets older and starts asking questions, "Where did I come from"?????...oh daddy had you....oh gosh!
He was on Oprah.... and had a sex change but retained his/her female organs so was able to carry the baby...i'm assumming the baby was removed via ceasarian section. i guess, it's no weirder than a same sex couple having a child.
I'm all for them having a baby, but if he went through gender reassignment, then why on earth does he still have a uterus and the other bits to go with it. Les and I have had some pretty interesting discussions about this and both think that because he still has she bits, that he should still be classed legally as a woman or complete the transformation.
In other words, not a case of man having a baby, but a woman pretending to be a man.
I think what they did was fine,. They used 'him' as the surrogate, so saved time and hassles.
Chris and I think it is totally wrong too. He/she left her uturus and overies so this could happen. To me its just a money grabber and the fact it was publicied means this kids knows all about it and other ppl do.
This poor kids is going to get picked on so much for it i think.
I think this opens up a can of worms and for the most part I don't really see that this is a good thing . I understand the need to have a child as I myself have needed IVF BUT I personally think that a male having a child is just taking things too far. . . Then there is the child to think of, imagine being this poor child. We all know that kids can be cruel and I hope that this poor angel manages to cope as no doubt this little angel is going to have a very rough start to life . .
