We have a c*****y car, so gps not an option! But geez, thieves are getting so brazen these days.  Thanks for the heads up and I hope your friends are getting over the shock of it all.

I heard Christine Nixon saying the other day that fighting crime had gone down blah blah blah but robbery and theft had gone up 14% or somthing like that 'cause people were stealing GPS's out of  cars etc....

It really is a scarey thing.

I hope your friends are okay and thanks for the warning . . GPS's are GREAT and to think the criminals are using them to steal from honest people is just wrong . . .  . . .  I will certainly be mention this at my nest Neighbour Hood Watch meeting.

Yes i have my gps in my car but at night time i bring it in and when i go into the shops i place it in my hand bag for safety reasons. They are also continually telling people to wipe the area on their windscreen where the gps has been stuck on witht he suction cup to clean the area thoroughly as this way there is never a sign that there is a gps in the vehicle or has been one in there at all.

Sorry for youe friends i hope they catch whoever it was that got into the car and the house.

But yeah it is a very serious thing cause they dont nessisary need your garage lock thingo. My InLaws had theirs opened by remote as did about 5 others in rockingham and Dad has his Laptop stolen which was very bad for him as it had a lot of the kids work on it and emails from the school etc.

Hubby says it's the new "thing" to do........and happening all the time. (hubby is a police officer)
