im in the uk this story is huge, but the sad truth is hes not the first and wont be the last a chat show disgused how parents have a part to play if your teen wants to tk there bf/gf upstairs to watch a film most of us wld think oh hang on hormones in overdrive and allow them to use anouther room or alteast check in to mk sure this cldnt happen, but then again they also said he looks 8 so wld it have crossed your mind? tyhe weirdest thing was there actuially selling these stories whats that teaching him do something to get noticed and get 5 min of fame what about the baby hows he going to steer a life when he knows nothing about life obviously not aware of whats right or wrong him having sex was illegal.

his father is suppose to be cashing in on the story. his parents are seperated (his father has fathered 9 children) not all from the same mother.

it was suppose to be the first time fot the 13 year old boy the mother 15 according to neighbours had various partners . there is doubt as to whether he fathered the baby.

when asked what he was going to do about money he seemed confused and talked about his pocket money! sounds like he is a little naive might have been taken for a ride. not just by the mother of the baby but his dad is also in for the ride. trying to cash in saying its a great story!

I think we need to bring back cheap sports adn things that are real for kids to do. its obviest that they have nothing better to do than have sex at a very young age with a lot of ppl.

i think its a bit sad that the parents of this couple didnt use their heads a bit and not let them sleep in the same bed! she was on the pill apparently and they had sleepovers but the parents didnt know? gimmie a break!

i think its great that they are all being responsible now and taking care of the baby i just think its sad that it had to happen so early for them.

i also think its sad that the girls name is being dragged thru the mud now. 8 boys they say? sheesh

OMG I just saw the article today on msn here. I cant believe he is only 13 and he definately looks more like 7 or 8! I really hope they do the DNA testing to really find out who the father is, especially when you hear that other boys are claiming to be the father!

When I showed my 12yr old he said YUKKKKK. I told him we needed to have a talk, he said he already knew, so I asked him to tell me what he knew so he could maybe teach me a thing or two. lol.

im speeechless! i did hear about a 13yo dad, but didnt believe it! He looks as old as my 6yo son! I would be absolutely horrified! the girl looks heaps older! no idea. sad thing is he probably will decide soon enough he wants to enjoy life not have a kid. so easy for the boys to walk away. what a horrible situaltion. Cute baby tho, i just feel sorry fot it.

I saw that story, on the news here.  Just hope to heavens they have a great support system for the child of the children. We went to the lake when I was a teen, huge group of us girls and happened across a 6 and 8 year old going at it beside one of the cottages.  Half of us didn't even clue in to what was going on and the other half decided right there that our kiddies when they came would never be left alone to "entertain" themselves!!!!

Honestly, little boys (and girls) should be playing with their toys and making mud pies for as long as possible. I am appalled...and really sad for the child and the baby.

Now I am mentally preparing for 'the talk' even though my son is only 13 months old (and my other son is still in my belly!) I mean honestly....EEEK!

Depends on how the kid grew up and matured. My bestie became a father around the same age, and there are plenty of 13-14 yr old girls that have babies. Why would it be any more shocking for a boy to become a father at that age than for a girl?

As for preventing it, yeah, sure, when people can stop being so uptight about discussing sex and it's no long a taboo subject... maybe in another life eh?

I know. when I saw this this morning I laughted and said to my hubby, Oh crap another kid having a kid. He laughted back. (its kinda a family joke in reguard to his old church where the pastors 12 year old son got his 14 year old GF pregnant)
