TOWEL help PLEASE

by KellzacarComment Published at 07:1907:194 comments4 comments68 Visits68 VisitsReport
hi Guys,

I recent;y brought 18 queen size fluffy bath towels and they are due to be delivered soon . .They were such a bargain that i just had to buy them . .  Anyway its been sooooooooo long since I've brought new towels that I can't remember the old remedy my Nan gave me.

I know I'm supposed to wash them in something before I use them to help with fluff etc but i can't remember what it is . . Bi-carb is ringing a bell but I don't think its the right one . .

Help PLEASE  . . .Kellz

How can I stop new towels from fluffing and leaving bits that come off everywhere?

SHANNON: Wash the towels with bicarb soda and vinegar. Put half a cup of bicarb soda in the wash water with your washing powder and half a cup of vinegar in the rinse.

Vinegar is also suppose to help with keeping them fluffy in the wash.  Put it into the final rinse.

Ahh, just looked up a book and it says the best fabric softener is 1/2 cup bicarb added to washing powder, then add 1/2 cup of vinegar to the rinse cycle....can't find anything on fluff but seems like this is the best way to keep towels soft.
