my lil sister has bi-polar she was diagnosed last year.. over the past 12 months she has been on so many different sorts of medications all of which made her either drowsy (which meant she couldnt work) or more on edge.. she has beeen off medication for almost 3 months now and instead she regulary see a dr and keeps herself busy.. she walks alot and she said taking all sugary drinks and foods out of her diet made a huge difference, she also said that swimming or jus moving around in the water. she said she has a weekly routine set out. she walks every morning with the dog, swims 4 times a week, sees her dr 2 times a week, writes everything in a diary everyday. and does things to stimulate the brain (but not things that might get her fustrated like crosswords) she said to do things that you injoy that make you feel good. she said that if you focus on thos things all the time hopefully (like her) you will start to feel better..
