Yesterday I was making Pikelets for arvo tea and the kids next door came round and said did my bubs want to come out and play. Of course he did! So my partner, bubs and the kids were outside playing while I made Pikelets.
When done I had buttered the pikelets and put them on a plate, carried them outside with a squeeze bottle of golden syrup. We sat on the ground while an adult put the golden syrup on and passed them around one by one. It was yummy and such a lovely time. Bubs loved the pikelets (with out the golden syrup of course).
I got this recipe from a web site called www.taste.com.au
1 Cup self rasing flour
1 tbs caster sugar
3/4 cup milk
1 egg
Sift flour and sugar and a pinch of salt
mix the milk and the egg together and then add to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
In a non sick fry pan. Put tablespoon drops of mixture in to the pan and fry until golden brown on both sides.
This recipe makes about 25 small pikelets. In the end when I used about half the mixture I added some more milk to thin it out a bit to make more.
Easy Peasy!!!! |
