I would hand it in. Why? Because if no one claims it within a certain time, you get it any way, and in the mean time, you can actually plan what you are going to spend it on! lol.
When I was 9, I found $50 in the school yard. I handed it in to the principal, who handed it to the police. A few weeks later, they came around. I was terrified because I though I was in trouble, but they came to tell me that I had done the right thing. They also gave me $100 and said that because of my honesty, they were giving me an extra reward.
