I would hand it in, no matter what, I just couldnt live with myself, I am a great believer in Karma, and if it was meant to become mine the police would let me know.

Hand it in...  For two reasons...

1. If they find the owner of the money, I have done a good deed...

2. If they don't find the owner finders keepers then I'd be doing the yippeee dance...

I would hand it in.  Why? Because if no one claims it within a certain time, you get it any way, and in the mean time, you can actually plan what you are going to spend it on! lol.

When I was 9, I found $50 in the school yard.  I handed it in to the principal, who handed it to the police.  A few weeks later, they came around.  I was terrified because I though I was in trouble, but they came to tell me that I had done the right thing.  They also gave me $100 and said that because of my honesty, they were giving me an extra reward.
