stop screaming?

ok i have a problem he doesnt do it all day long thakfully, but when he's told no! he's taken to screaming at me, ive got to the point were hes told no removed from what ever hes doing wrong and just walking away he knows when placed on the seetee and told thats naughty hes done something wrong, but he gets upset which upsets me although im learning not to fall soft all the time, but id like to know if any one has any tips on getting a 18mnth old to understand why?

Hi Jo! You are doing the right thing with the removing him & sitting him in the same spot for a little while - perhaps not somewhere he uses any other time though - I use a corner in the kitchen away from any toys, tv or anything. Jack has done "time-out" since 15 months & they do get upset but you just have to be strong - place him in the spot you choose, explain why he is going there then leave him fora few minutes, go back, ask him to say sorry for what he has done (even if he doesn't understand sorry yet he will soon) and let him get up.
