I also wonder if sometimes they just leave you on hold on purpose and can hear you yelling and swearing at them. Sometimes when you are just waiting you get through alot quicker then when you are telling them where to shove it!

Yes  its so annoying,, but i love being able to do it back to them as well..

Yeah, and I hate the voice activated operator!! Grrr I say all kinds of things until I can speak to a human.

I get all annoyed and hang up, especially if it cost money

Oh yes - this is one of my pet peeves! I could smash the phone when it happens!
